[ROM][KK][4.4][2014-05-18] CyanogenMod 11.0

I solved an issue with tethering, maybe it could be useful for others.

My PC couldn't connect to Internet, tethering the mobile data from MI2 (using smartphone as an hotspot wifi for data mobile). I just installed "tether unlocker" from the play store to solve this.
Now it's working as Miui rom does.

It might sound silly, but you could try to turn off screen (press on/off) and turn it back on. This helps for me in lockscreen, when clock widget tries to unlock phone.

Thanks, but that doesn't help. I did try. It is such a shame because it is really the best rom of the many I have tried. But I need to fix this problem to be able to keep using it. :cool:
Maybe someone knows how to calibrate the proximity sensor on the Xiaomi mi2s with this rom? That would be worth a try. Or it is something in my settings, but I tried everything as far as I know.

Rotate it "drawing" and 8 several times, it should work

That didn't work either. Strange thing is, with miui or wiui rom I don't have this problem. With those, there is the memory issue. I also don't use a screenprotector.

Well, I might be wrong.
@M1cha
There was a post somewhere in this or the recovery thread, that explained how tdb works. It was the layout in an gif or pdf I think. If you still find it somewhere, maybe you can add it to post #1 in recovery thread. It seems that I didn't understand the concept "virtually splitting data partition".

Have a look at /data_root directory - that is the contents of the userdata partition: the subdirs system0 and system1 are "data" for System 1 and 2, respectively. During boot, the corresponding subdir gets mounted as /data.
(I guess it is done with the help of mount binding, though I am not quite sure at which stage of boot process this happens, so that it "survives" after newly flashed ROMs - possibly some kind of an init script injection into the new ROM's /system before the recovery is rebooted.)

I thought this kinda magic dance is used for compass calibration. Or is it a universal voodoo for any sensor problems?
On miui compass app there's written this :S iy's not my fault but @MarkHUK who may translate wrongly :p

I was wondering where the developer options menu went. Did a quick search on google and it seems that you can enable developer mode by tapping on Build Number 7 times under Settings -> About Phone. Gives you a lot of extra options and settings such as multiple boot menu (boot into recovery, bootloader, etc.). I found it to be very useful, thought I'd share. :p

This was the way to enable them since 2012 I think :p

that's the point: it should work for compass, but he asked for hints how to calibrate the proximity sensor -- the stuff that turns off the screen during phone call if you decrease the proximity between the phone and your ear :D
