[rom]-- Smiui Rom -- Ultimate Custom Rom --[multilang,stable/weekly]

Okay, not sure but here's my deal:
Mi4, running CMW. I want to run miui on sys1 and smiui and sys2 and be able to create nandroid backups.
Now I cant flash roms anymore, not through CWM (not fast rom, not signed rom).
It says: this package is for aries devices, this is a cancro (and then status 7 error.)
I triple checked my rom, but it IS cancro rom (sMiUI_v7_cancro_5.11.5_WLSDWL)
Now what? I;m still on 5.10.8 (because of this) and battery is quite good, so there is no urge to update, but this is not ideal either.

(My mi2 is still smooooth (using default recovery btw))

Official MIUI needs stock Mi Recovery. U cant install via CWM / TWRP.
If U use CWM, create ROM - fast ROM (without sign)

hi Bro sebs, I want to propose for the next sysUi modification, app icon placed @ right side, so that not cumulative @ left side. Like as pict. Thanks

still having problems with calls... the sound come out from the speaker.

no one have the same issue?? i have to reboot my phone to fix it each time
I've the same doubt now...
Placing the ear on the back cover it seems that the sound comes even from there.

But I can't say if it is "normal"...

5.11.5

Edit: Yes, I'm pretty sure that the in call audio comes out from the back speaker. Now I know why I need to put the volume up...

Please, some other people can test and confirm this issue?

please try to edit your /system/build.prop file.

delete all lines after the "###sMiUI Changes"-line.

Please tell me if that fixes your problem.

I checked your ROM and that is not possible, I even flashed it on my Mi4 and it worked without problems. Please check again if you install the correct file.
Maybe you can try reinstalling your Recovery (CWM).

Otherwise I have no idea :/

I came up with the same problem ...but on the right side we have bluetooth and alarm clock icon :D ...so there is not much space as well ..

my advice is to disable the carrier logo/text in settings.

the issue seems to solve when i reboot the phone, but after some time it happens again

mi2s - 5.11 - i just make wipe cache & dalvik (first time i install smiui i did wipe full)

the user above was right, I have(!) to use the fast Rom creation in my case if I want to install smiui with cwm. If I don't use it, i.e. it's signed, then I get that weird error.

But, please making choice for app icon at right side :D. Cause my bluethoot & alarm icons is never active. :D
Thanks bro sebs

i think i found a little bug for Mi4c devices. Please if you have a Mi4c and want to help me find that bug, please send me PM.
Will take you only 5 minutes!

This is my build.prop now. (I hope that I made the right thing...)

Edited, rebooted but same issue.

Now I can confirm Ghost-touch also.
(Like happened to nightmike)

Just for info, I wipe cache and dalvik first and after new updates.

Hi. I think im gonna try this rom. But before that, may i ask some question?

1. Does the mods like center clock can he disable once done flashing is i didnt like it? Or do i have to download a new rom with that mod disable?

2. Does it come with basic gapps like miui eu or do i have to flash gapps? What do u recommend, i have tk and opengapps at bay.

3. Does it support ota? Or i have to download full rom if i want to have newer version? Im assuming no from my experience so far.

4. What do you recommend i enable aside from miui apps and visual changes?

5. Do i better of with which base? Im on hm2014811.

Thanks for all you help.

1. No, it's possible to reflash just the mod(on or off) using TWRP or CWM :
http://smiui.net/mods.php

2. Yes.

3. No, if you want to stay updated, you need to rebuild your rom on smiui.net every new release.

4. This is entirely up to you.

5. I like the developer base (weekly updates), even if you don't update every week it's stable. On rare occasions when the users report a huge bug, they usually rebuild the rom in a couple of days or take off the last version until next week build.

Thanks. I went ahead and download the rom. It's pretty fast. But some problem with the notification on some apps. It came later then it suppose to be. I'll update to the 5.11.12/13 later tomorrow.

Thats supposed to be fixed in the current version. Please try 5.11.12/13 and report back if you get your notifications faster.

Is it possible for you to add a LCD Density Changer mod or something similar, where you can input your desired DPI? Right now, the line "ro.sf.lcd_density" is missing from build.prop, so if I want to change the LCD Density, I have to manually add the line every time I flash a new update of the ROM.

Maybe it would just be enough to have the line "ro.sf.lcd_density" added by default in build.prop, so it's only needed to change its value instead of adding the whole line.

It's a minor problem, so no need to prioritize this ;) Thanks for a great ROM and your hard work!

So it's time for me to get with the program. I am on sMUI 5.something with the old partitioning scheme and have CWM based recovery v6.0.5.0 on my phone. I'd like to move to a single partioning scheme with lots of room for apps (as I am running into problems with storage space when installing apps right now). What's the way to go? Go with Miika's unified_single: same as unified but without Dualsystem and bigger system partitions ? And then copy the latest SMUI update.zip to the internal storage and update it via recovery?

Awesome update. I really love 'new' Browser with speed dial again :) kicks Opera in ass. Faster and less ram eating.
Thank you for update :)

Recommended would be wipe everything using MiFlash with a fastboot ROM. (Flash all option).

This will wipe everything and also create the new partition layout for you.

You can find the flashing tool (MiFlash) and all the roms in here:
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html

After flashing and booting the system with this rom, check your storage and you'll see it's now merged with system apps. Now you can copy sMiui Rom (renamed as update.zip) to the root of your phone and install it with MiRecovery or you can reinstall TWRP or CWM, your choice.

Here's a guide to install TWRP for merged layout.
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/...nstall-a-custom-recovery-on-miui-v6-v7.28465/

Sofar I have installed the latest stable MIUI. Then I installed the recovery, TWRP. Now I have tried to do a miikaa unified_single update on the partitions, but MiFlash is not cooperating. It cannot find the correct scripts and it cries about flash_all.bat. So, I tried copying over the smui .zip over to the phone and installing that with TWRP. Not a success. Phone will not boot, it stays on the initial MI.com logo. I can still enter TWRP. Any suggestions?

Edit: I've flashed the zip a second time now, and I now see the sebsch logo. It seems the device is booting... something. I'll wait a while now.
