This is the simplest and safest method to remove Chinese assistant and all related Chinese things:

(Tested with Mi5 many times with no issue)

1. Get rooted by SuperSU
2. Install Root Explorer or similar app and grant root accesses
3. Settings > Additional settings > Accessibility: Disable Chinese assistant app service
4. Settings > Installed Apps > Defaults > Assist & Voice input > Assist app: Choose "Google App" or "None" instead of Chinese assistant - This is the main point before remove PersonalAssistant.apk otherwise you will get bootloop!
5. Open in Root Explorer /system/priv-app/PersonalAssistant folder and rename PersonalAssistant.apk to PersonalAssistant.apkk or to anything else what you want
6. Reboot the phone
7. If you rebooted with no issue then you can safely delete /system/priv-app/PersonalAssistant folder if you want (optional)

Result (no any Chinese staff and default assist app setting by the user will remain even after reboot the phone):

If you get bootloop or stuck at Mi logo for same reason then:

1. Reboot to TWRP recovery
2. Mount > tick System
3. Advanced > File Manager and open: /system/priv-app/PersonalAssistant folder > rename back PersonalAssistant.apkk to original name to PersonalAssistant.apk
4. Reboot to system

I disabled the Chinese app no issue at first but next day google sync and gmail sync stop working.
Once I enable it, Google sync as normal again.
Anyone facing the same thing.

excuse me... i'm really confused now... my device isn't redmi4 pro? 3/32 gb ram rom, octacore 2.0 ghz... isn't this the redmi4 pro???

You're flashing the wrong package, that is for Redmi Note 4, your device is PRADA named just HM4

The recovery is telling you that you have a different device. Not me.
In fact after looking again at the endless list of Redmi's it seems it's the right one for your device.
It looks like you recovery does not recognize your device as a Redmi 4 Pro (codename MARKW)

I did almost the same as your tutorial but only use twrp to rename it.
It looked like OK at first. But I have no idea why Google and gmail stop syncing until I re enable the Chinese app.

i dont wanna accuse you for anything... i trying just to understand :(

i know i tried to flash the MARKW rom, and this rom doesnt work on my device. got it

know i would like to understand: isn't my device REDMI4 PRO??? if i try to flash the PRADA rom there is prossibility of brick or loop?

The recovery is blocking you because it's not recognizing your device as a MARKW.
If you try to flash a different device signature the recovery just gave error.
As you can see in your picture it clearly says that the .zip file is for "markw" your device is " " so I am pretty sure that you have downloaded the correct rom, but the problem is in the recovery.

i'm a newbie in modding and roms... can i ask you what means the problem is in the recovery? did i do anything wrong during the twrp procedure?

Simple, your recovery is not recognizing your phone.
You probably flashed in the correct way the recovery but something is definitely wrong. Download again TWRP from link in the first post and flash it again via fastboot, then try again.

@Giovanni84 Type an "@" then starting typing the name of the person. A drop down will appear with options. Just select the name of the person your tagging.

I don't know what you expect him to do with TWRP problems, maybe check your device forum on XDA.

AFANTOCULU!!!! sorry for my native lenguage esclamation...

i did... solved finally. there is a problem isnide the files in the rom, a with help of Daniele Benati on a fb group i did it

i write what to do in any other people need it

Download the last xiaomi.eu rom (6.11.17)
open the zip file with winrar
META INF->COM->GOOGLE->ANDROID
using exclusively the blocknotes open the file UPDATER SCRIPT
delete on the first string:
getprop("ro.product.device") == "markw" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "markw" || abort("This package is for \"markw\" devices; this is a \"" + getprop("ro.product.device") + "\".");

until the first string start with:
ui_print("Tar etc etc etc

save the file and put the modified file in the device and use it to flash the rom with recovery
