So it's not possible to go back to a EU rom via Updater, where it was possible to go to a Global rom via that tool, am I right?

You probably need to unlock/TWRP/reflash EU to get back to the good stuff

Hello!

I'm currently running 8.0.8.0 on my Mi5.
If I wanna upgrade to the latest version, is it possible to keep my apps installed and my data like gallery and music preserved?
Or does it fully factory reset my phone?
Thanks in advance!

If I download the
xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5_6.12.22_v8-7.0.zip
to my SD card, can i just upgrade using the updater application? Or do i need to fully flash via TWRP?

read the instuctions on page 1 (in red) and you don't loose anything.

I upgraded my Mi4 to marshmallow from KitKat, last weeks ROM. Great ROM, so far everything works. The only thing I see as a down side is a 5-10 seconds delay when opening google apps like play store, chrome, Inbox.

For example: I open play store, I see the loading circle working for 5-6 seconds, then the store appears without icons (just text) and then another few seconds to load the icons. It wasn't like that on KK. Chrome also takes longer to load pages. It feels slower than KitKat.

Is it just my phone or does this hapen to everyone?

How you meen in backgroud ? I have apply only both fixes for mtk x20 and x25.
I mean do you have some apps in the background? Take a look at my results

MI5s of a problem with the camera. When you include the option to exit date and time the photo gives an error.

Can someone please help me with my slow opening apps problem?

As far as I can see, many of my apps take long time to open. When starting apps I see the spining loading sign for 5-10 sec before the app loads fully. It's affecting all the apps using Internet (play store, chrome, innbox, zedge, teamviewer). Weather app also takes time to sync, sometimes I get no internet error. Chrome takes long to open pages.

My phone is Mi4 LTE. I should add that I just came from KitKat (merged my partitions, flashed TWRP, wiped system, cache, davlik and data and flashed 6.12.15 weekly). ROM itself seams fluid and fast but loading apps takes time and I just want to know is that to be expected with marshmallow or did I do something wrong?

Wifi never goes off if phone goes to sleep? In previous version I don't see this. (Of course I have option Never keep wlan on during sleep)
But it strangely don't shorten battery life (which is awesome on redmi 3).

On my wife's Kenzo battery life is strangely short. All functions disabled to lengthen time, it drops from 100℅ to 90℅ in 4 hours in sleep. Android takes 76℅, android system 13℅, all other less than 10℅.
