I think next weekly builds from xiaomi.eu won't lock bootloader. @ingbrzy Is it correct?

Like it was mentioned on previous page, it won't happened coz you won't change Android major version on weekly updates. Keep calm and wait for updates =)

Do you see that not everyone phone get locked bootloader after flasing Nougat build? So relax.
Hello my phone MI4C,
I have a big problem. I tried to unlock my MI4C. But stucked at 50%.
I checked "find device" is activated on my phone, and also in the account I could find the device.
But I have the XIAOMI.EU ROM installed.
Do I need CN developer? How can I install it? Is the unlock only working from there?

It needs to be 3.030.I have found and tried TWRP 3.0.0.0 and it gave me the same result
Only MI4S/MI4C/MI Note Pro were locked with this update, that's because they were on android 5, I think with android 6/7 they need a new bootloader which is locked by default, with the next updates it wont need to be updated again.

Unlock process stopped at 50% "cannot verify device". But tracking is active on the handy and also in the account.

After a few attempts I finally managed to install the modified version (7.2.9) on my MI Note Pro (leo).
First attempt the phone froze on the miui logo and refused to boot.
On the second attempt with the first version of the rom, the phone had very serious battery draining issues.
But the reuploaded (modified) version that I installed afterwards seems to be ok.
To resolve the frozen phone issue and install the 7.2.9 ROM:
1. From this post I followed steps Q16 and Q17.
2. Afterwards following step Q15 I installed 6.12.22 Rom.
3. I took a MIUI cloud backup and after that i updated to 7.2.9 (clean install) and restored from MIUI cloud.
I can't enter TWRP as it seems that a new version compatible to Nougat is needed but the phone seems smooth. The phone does not seem to have significant battery drain issues. So far I am quite happy with this version.

Bootloader now locked, I have applied for the unlonck with XIAOMI, received 1 sms, but not the second one to confirm that I can unlock
I cannot access fastboot, I am on WIN10, cable is OK, but the phone is not recognized when it is in FASTBOOT mode.
Any help? Do I need a different driver for fastboot?

It MIUI tools you should fine updater and from that three point at the right and up corner you should push "choose update package" and then locate the ROM file you have downloaded before.

Yes, I have ADB drivers installed, I tried 2 different ones.
MI4C is not recognized by windows at all ... FOUND OUT PROBLEM IS USB CABLE.
How long does it take XIAOMI to approve the unlock requests?
I will gate a new cable on Monday, if my request is denied by MI, I suppose I will have to wipe the phone, right?

Have you switch on usb debugging and oem unlocking at developer options?
