Today i finished unlocking succesfully. I didnt change nothing.
After five days :)

China's servers are very slow :D
 
it will not lock after every new update on nougat 7.... only one time from 5.1 to 7.... i received unlock verification sms after 3-4 days, and the same day 20hours later from getting sms xiaomi, i unlocked it, and i installed twrp 3.03-0 and supersu.. im all up to date again.. NO problems.. important for windows 10 users is to get driver signing off... otherwise you can get phone 50% error too.. how a google search:"

  3. Right-click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run As Administrator“.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To disable device driver signing, type “BCDEDIT /set nointegritychecks ON” then press “Enter“
    • To enable device driver signing, type “BCDEDIT /set nointegritychecks OFF” then press “Enter“ and restart computer..
.. then via official unlock tool xiaomi it should work to unlock, and yes in dev. options also ''oem blabla'' is important..

same for me. I received sms last night (friday 17 feb 2017, at 01.00).........

.........but this morning, at 08.30, I connected to http://en.miui.com/unlock/ I clicked the button "unlock now" and I saw "Sorry, your application has been rejected"


Any idea? I've only to wait some days to give some time to update for xiaomi servers
or I have to do another unlock request?
 
Hello,

I applied for BL unlock, received confirmation via SMS. Waited 5 days, but still did not work via MIUI unlock tool (50% error).
Then I used EDL and now I am back at Android 6.0 with CN Dev. ROM (Android 6 latest version).
I used MIUI unlock tool again. And the unlock worked (went up to 100%). For me it did not work with XIAOMi.EU rom, but immediately with the official CN developer ROM. Strange. Means, I cannot install Android 7.
 
But why you didn't try to install last CN Dev. ROM with Android 7 with EDL mode?

Hartmer, did you try this? Maybe this 50% error is a driver problem?

Do you really think that xiaomi.eu and official rom are using different driver for fastboot? I dont think so.
For me it wasn't driver.
Probably it's some problem with xiaomi.eu roms and official Unlock tool. I unlocked around 10 xiaomi smartphones and I was doing it always on official rom. This time when I try to do it on my personal Mi4C with xiaomi.eu rom I had this problem.

trying and trying reading all kinds of tutorials, but can't get past this.
Damn this locked bootloader is p****ng me off.
I don't want to unlock it using the fastboot method, because that will let me restart from the 6.12.22, so i decided this time, to follow what xiaomi suggests to do, but here i am after a week of tries.

To run the command prompt the simplest is to use the key combination windows + key "X"

How looking that verification sms? Please post an screenshot. Of course, you can blur sensitive information details. Thank you.
I applyed yesterday for unlock on en.miui.com/unlock , i received this sms from 1792: "Your verification code is xxxxxx. This code is valid for 5 minutes. If you didn't request a code, ignore this message." I introduced that sms code there, clicked on Unlock Now button and now appear the text:
" ️ Submitted. Please wait for the review.
After your application is approved, we will send an SMS notification to your cell phone. If you have not got any info after 10 days, please post a thread in Complaints/Advice section of MIUI Global Forum ".
I checked mi unlock tool but i got the message:
" Your device isn't supported by Mi Unlock ".
What must can i do now? Must to wait few days until i will receive another confirmation/validation sms or?
On Mi Cloud my device is fine, appear everytime online when i sync it.

I´m just the same. I received the unlock permission from Xiaomi but I couldn´t unlock the bootloader because the 50% issue.
I verified my SIM in order to fix it but just after that I lost Xiaomi´s approval and I´m waiting again for a second SMS.
I would like to know if could be possible for those who are stuck on last week 7.2.9 rom with drain battery issue to receive an OTA update from Xiaomi.eu as an exceptional measure, since reading the comments we are a lot of people with the same problem.

why? the approval has a validation limit? Many here say to wait at least 5 days because they say that miui servers are slow.

"Unlock your bootloader again on Mi4C, Mi4S, MiNotePRO
(check your bootloader status by command "fastboot oem device-info")
Install TWRP for 7.0 via fastboot "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" "fastboot boot twrp.img"

Xiaomi unlocked my phone the same day!
Then i installed the xiaomi.eu version and all good!
My bootloader is still unlocked and the TWRP works better and faster than before!

does the unlock work only if you have the CN version on? I think i have a mess on, this is what i did:
- i had the 6.22.12 with twrp and rooted.
- when the first versione of nougat came out for mi4c, i installed it and got locked. I asked for unlocking.
- that version had massive battery use and overheating, so i returned to the 6.22.12 (don't remember how but it was following some internet guides and using fastboot + adb)
- then, the day after, i saw that they fixed the nougat update so i installed it again and got locked again.
Now, i'm here, trying to update again, but can't do anything. I'm also trying to roolback to 6.22.12, but nothing. I'm stuck

You are not stuck. You can (as I did a week ago) force a downgrade to 6.1.7 using edl emergency mode. Thas version has bootloader unlocked. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/mi4c-android-5-1-to-android-7-0.38107/page-2#post-351399
