Thank you in advance

> cd C:\ADB
> C:

(change C: and ADB to your respective drive and path you chose)

Power off your device and turn it back on Fastboot mode. In order to enter the "fastboot mode", press and hold "Power+Volume Down" buttons
Connetc phone to pc

And type
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot recovery

Done now you have recovery installed and booted to recovery

what version of xiaomi.eu rom you tried to sideload?

"xiaomi.eu_multi_leo_6.3.24_v7-5.1" It said this was out of date, developer version downloaded from the guide Q15.
Then I tried Stable version "xiaomi.eu_multi_MINotePro_V8.2.1.0.LXHCNDL_v8-5.1". It was loading till some 50%- 70% and then finished. I then reboot the phone with the screen showing the "MI‘ icon and ’mi.com‘ and there was no moving three dots at the bottom of the screen of the phone as usual when we reboot. It stays till now.

I can still boot to twrp to the phone. Just that I do not know what to do now.

Update:
I tried using MI PC Suite with MIUI8.2, stable version, 8.2.1.0 (LXHCNDL) it all went well. Is this EU version? How do I install Google Play store and Google Play Service? What version should I be using? Can please share a link to download? Thank you.

I have it unlocked again.

Should I do another adb sideload with earlier ROM since the latest did not work or i did something not right?

I got the eu rom installed finally with a new downloaded twrp.img. The MiUI 8 failed earlier and so MIUI 7 was installed instead

You can install latest rom but not by sideload. If you have twrp, just download rom, copy to internal memory, then turn off phone, enter in twrp and wipe cache, wipe data, install the zip of xiaomi.eu rom and reboot done,
To use latest developer rom you must first flash 6/12/22, then flash latest developer rom, probably the bootloader will be locked just unlock again by unlock tool.

Thank you very much for your guide without which I will not have the EU rom now.

As of now I am happy with it and busy downloading and setting all my apps. I might try installing the latest developer rom but I thought it would be updated via OTA, no?

By the way, what is flash 6/12/22?

Xiaomi.eu does not do ota updates only oficial miui
If you want xiaomi.eu rom and your android version is 5.1 you need to flash
6/12/22rom
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120695164
Then flash latest developer rom (android 7.0)

Thanks for the link. I am ready for it. I see that you have twrp 3.0.3. May I have the link?

Downloaded the official twrp app. Unfortunately the miflash unlock does not allow me to unlock. Got to wait for few days, as I just unlocked yesterday, before it can allow me to unlock the bootloader.

if you are already on latest developer rom (android 7)

just see if your bootloader is unlocked
enter in fastboot mode and
in Cmd type
fastboot devices
fastboot oem device-info
if it says bootloader locked False you have unlocked bootloader and can flash again the twrp if not wait until you get permission to unlock again, (nothing will be lost)

I am still on version miui 7.3 by xiomi eu 5.3.24 beta. I think this is not Android 7. Also the bootloader is locked after checking from the pc as you suggested.
I just have to wait for the permission to unlock. Once I get the bootloader unlocked as you suggest I should flash 6.12.22 before I could flash again to the latest rom, right?

I found this twrp app from twrp official website that led me to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.twrp.twrpapp. But minote pro was not listed unfortunately. Don't know if this app works.

The twrp must be the one ive linked it is not official. It does not exist official twrp
And yes first flash 6/12/22 and then the latest developer rom. Then you have to unlock bootloader again because the upgrade to android 7 lockes the bootloader again (shame on xiaomi) and flash twrp again
