I tried updating via OTA but the updater keeps on crashing... I had to download it via web. I had the latest version installed fresh (with data wipe) on my MI5, what's wrong? Looks like my phone wi-fi is unstable, it also crashed when I configured it right after the wipe

Why fastboot is needed to boot twrp from file on pc? What about buttons or updater>reboot to recovery?

When ich use the buttons vol+ & Power or Updater reboot to recovery, then starts the original xiaomi recovery, not twrp. Twrp is only starts per PC

You needs to starts updater app and choose reboot to recovery, hoping that you already have some Xiaomi.eu rom already installed, that changes recovery to twrp.

Use below ADB command for flash TWRP recovery permanently:

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

then:

fastboot boot twrp.img

exactly, it feels sluggish and lags a bit, and when you open couple of apps, free ram is 800mb out of 3gb well thats for my redmi note 4x

Latest version has less free ram then the previous version and it is much slower then before... Anyone facing this?

Less Free RAM is reported since Beta 7.8.30 but I don't feel it slower.

Buy a Mi6, Mi5, Mi5s, Mi4s or Mi4c and you get better audio recording quality...

the quality problem is not hardware, is software. there are mod that solve it but it would be better than already corrected of series.

How to remove Camera, Flashlight and MI Home from lockscreen? (without skipping swipe to unlock) There used to be "lockscreen shortcuts" configuration menu item to set it... Now it is missing.
