HDR and HHT in MI 5 not working, when I take a picture with HDR or with the HHT the camera app says "not possible to connect to the camera" I'll wait the next update to fix it

On redmi 4 prime Bluetooth doesn't work. I can't send file. This problem was present even in miui 8. Actually I'm on last miui 9 Eu.

A bit angry and very sad.......

Flashed from last MIUI 8 via TWRP. Mobile Data stop working. First it didn't allow me to enter to the APN settings. Factory reset done. Now I can access to the APN settings but the mobile data still doesn't work.

I'll try to install the first MIUI 9 to try to fix and update again to this version. If this can't solve the problem I'll go back to MIUI 8.

After the first release of Miui 9 I still encouter many bugs which haven't been solved yet after submitting my issue many times already.

I've reinstalled my phone 2 weeks ago: Full Reset and wiped everything.
Issues with Second Space have been partly solved. When you switch from Miui 8 to Miui 9, Second Space doesn't have access to the First Space. As far as I know, you can't backup Second Space on the same account as your First Space Miui account.
Advise for everyone who wants to switch from Miui 8 and 9, make sure that you don't have Second Space running.

Fixed:
- Can't use Second Space properly. Every shared app will Force Close when you open it.
- You need to pair with every BT device you have after you update the rom (this means connect to every device every week).

Current issues:
- Default mail app: I can't open my hotmail from the screenlock or pull-down menu. The system doesn't react on my action and the message dissapears.
- Default mail app: I can't open all e-mail messages especially the ones from webshops (advertismens and ). It gives me a error message: "e-mail keeps stopping".
- When you switch from Second Space to First Space, Bluetooth connection will be turned off most of the times even when you have turned it on on both spaces. When you switch within a few seconds it will remain on. When you switch after 2-3 minutes, it wil be turned off on the First Space.


What did I do:
- Wiped cache of my mail client
- Re-entered my mail clients
- Did a clean wipe 2 weeks ago
- Updated my phone every week with the latest released
- Reported these problems at least 4 times already
- Switched from Dutch to English

I have 2 Fingerprints assigned, No other Finger wakes Up the screen, so maybe you should assign one

I would like to avoid to assign fingerprints or other "lock codes" because I want leave my phone "free" in case of emergency.
Think about if I have an accident and the rescuer need to call my family: if there is a fingerprint assigned, he cannot make calls.... no good.


An intermediate solution could be a simple "swype to unlock" without verification codes or fingerprints (for the same reason explained before).
But this solution is uncomfortable on most of my cases.

Did you measure with a "proper" Network Measurement device/app, such as Network Signal Guru? Or even better a proper network drivetest tool like ROMES, NEMO or TEMS.

The bar indicator on the top of the phone is about as accurate as sticking a wet finger out the window of your car to try calibrate your speedometer (not very....).

Turn off google correction of words. Then the red line goes away.

yes, of course. i only get them after i open whatsapp.

if i close it from recent apps, or miui battery saver close it, notifications doesn't arrive

My wife on Mi4C had same exact issue when passed from Miui 8 to Miui 9.


I solved in this way :
1. open WhatsApp
2. click 3 points on upper-right edge >> settings >> chat >> chat backup
3. uninstall WhatsApp from PlayStore
4. reinstall WhatsApp from PlayStore (automatically should find a backup and will restore all your chat backupped at point 3)

Try...

NOTE: zero WhatsApp data-loss thanks to the backup at point 3.

Installed clean full wipe MIUI 9 7.8.17. Mobile data work.

Update to this version, mobile data doesn't work.....

Don't install on Xiaomi Mi Note 2 by the moment, it's my advise.

(i made a restore with titanium backup when i wipe /data to install miui9)

maybe this is the cause of the problem... I did same... Titanium restore...

I can't remember if you have mentioned it - did you update manually or use ota . There seems to have been some issue with an ota at some point , but the manual download I used is fine ...for me at least .

I used manual updates. Ota normally aren't available.
I didn't mention that before to install the 7.9.7 I was using the 7.9.5/2 ( firsts MIUI 9 in beta) where the launcher problem appeared for the first time.

Having problems with latest version MIUI 9 video recording on mi6, timer doesn't run and doesn't save any video. Currently on holiday where I had updated . Photo making is perfect but video no go

Sure...I agree with you...
But after saving me they want call someone of my family.

Anyway not a problem. I will keep more attention to not press this button... Or in case I will add a lock screen.
