It also happens to me in the redmi note 4x ... SMS and calls has led notification light, in whassap I have icon and sound but not led light since last week

OH THANK GOD!!! I installed xposed and used amplify, so I thought that was the reason, and I've been going back and forth with my blocked services, unblocking something then checking for 12 hours and going back... Should have posted on this forum way back.

Is there a way to officially report the bug to xiaomi.eu or will a post on this forum do?

I installed for 7.11.9 and them cancel rom ,and remove from sever Probably I'm the only one who installed it.

I do not know if in miui.eu they have knowledge of this bug or if it is the fault of miui.com, only that since last week there is no led light for whasapp notifications. I hope they fix it soon to the appropriate person.

you don't have to be a dick. you're getting these updates free of cost while some other developer toils to fix bugs. be patient, the update will be out.

All notifications seem to be slightly broken, I think this is connected to the Telegram issue. If they fix the telegram issue it's likely that this will get fixed, too. BTW, this is not only for whatsapp, I'm not seeing notification LED flash for google inbox emails either.

I think that if it is a problem related to notifications in general, I trust that they solve the problem with telegram and fix the rest ...

Yep I think you're absolutely right. Many guys on official Global have the same issue and the bug is under discussion by Xiaomi itself since few days back (http://en.miui.com/thread-981643-1-1.html). For anybody bothered by the issue, stay a bit more on a build where notifications are working until the fix is here. Btw, as @moep said (https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/7-11-2.42127/page-36#post-394381), the devs from MIUI MS fixed it by themselves... Maybe they could share the fix you guys @ingbrzy? ...or maybe it's already in the next to be released 7.11.9

Regarding broken notification issue strange that all app notification (including Telegram and WhatsApp) work fine on Redmi Note 4 MTK devices with latest MIUI update. It seems this issue only reproducible on Android 7.x based MIUI devices since release 7.11.2

The solution is to set Miui Launcher by default and Change to nova Launcher just after launch Miui Launcher every reboot thé Phone

I think is because Miui Launcher can't automatically run after reboot

I have this version installed on my mi max 2 but some translations are in English even if I selected Greek language.
At official miui dev rom I don't have this issue. Why?

@Vasco Sousa since you're one of the few lucky ones who already got 7.11.9, could you share some general review with the rest of us?

I have got 7.11.9 on both Mi5 and Mi Mix 2, no obvious problems, the short-cuts screen (left swipe from Home screen) appears to work well on both variants, no problems with flash via TWRP from download, with SuperSU root (flashed together, dirty with only Dalvik cache wiped).

I have had no issues with notifications on either device, but do not use Telegram.

Battery on Mix 2 is at 60% after a full day of use in an office environment, with Wifi and LTE both active.

On the previous version i had poor data conection with mobile data: Fixed on 7.11.9!
Smart assistant is back, butt needs translation improvement, some things are in English. (I am Portuguese).
Battery is good, the phone is super fluid and no bugs so far.
The only strange thing is on Settings»more setings» accessibility, have now an option with chinese carachters, look at the screenshot bellow, if someone could tell me what it is i would apreciate...
But after all its a very good job from Xiaomi.eu.

I didn't realize MTK devices are not on 7.x. I'll hang around here a little more to find out whether I should update or roll back.

By the way, does Xposed go away when we update? What happens to the settings on Xposed modules? I know that magisk goes away but the magisk modules and their settings remain intact.

We will provide MIUI 9 China Stable ROM for users of above devices (Redmi 1 excluded) . MIUI Stable ROM 9.1 and MIUI Stable ROM 9.2 will be released in the future to help users enjoy the lightning last MIUI 9. The falshing method will be provided later. Please stay tuned to the forum. Note:
1. Mi 3 uses the same code as that in Mi 4. Therefore, you may download MIUI ROM of Mi 4 to flash Mi 3. But due to the issue of compatibility, the system stability after flashing is not guaranteed.
2. There is no update schedule of MIUI 9 Stable ROM for Redmi 1 due to hardware limitations..

For me good move.They should do it long ago, hang up a completely weekly update for old phones and spend only stable. The next ones they should hang are Mi4, Mi4c, Mi4s, Mi4i. The number of new phones is growing and they should be taken care of, and soon to come out as Mi6C with the second generation of processors from Xiaomi, Mi Note 3 special edition signed by the star in China.

If it is installed or makes changes on system partition then it will go away after update...

My advice to all is, Do Not buy MTK powered model. Only buy the SD powered variant.

Just wait patiently for the SD model.
