What better install for this phone?
Last Xiaomi.eu 7.1.20 - Miui 8 or Last Global Miui 9 7.11.16?
The most important are the least problems, like the best range gsm / wcdma / lte and wifi, and reasonably well holding the battery. Of course, the system is as smooth as possible. What you already recommend permanently for this phone.

Well, go to Settings, Installed apps, look for the banking app, hit force stop, clear all data and make all the settings just as you have a new phone.

The thing is that I don't recall ID Android change on any previous Android version updates. Why this time it is different? Why there was no warning about it? Should I reconfigure all my apps relying on Android ID (now my Mi6 isn't recognized anymore by them) or wait for some fix for this issue?

Yes. Because when you first registered the app at the bank, you had one ID. now after the Oreo update this ID changed, even if the device is the same. The bank notices the change and for your own security doesn't recognize your phone anymore and you need to reauthenticate with the "new" phone .... And of course, all settings are gone. Small inconvenience, but solvable in 2-5 minutes.

L.E. Reinstall Windows on the exactly the same hardware system and you will get, every single time a unique ID ... So this is the exactly the same case

L.E.2. The reason why this problem did not occur on the other updates is that there were small changes of the same O.S. version. This small changes do not affect your "id" as a completely new OS ...
