For who has problems with sound notifications, needs to re-set sounds from the app (WhatsApp etc.)settings and select the sounds from the list....not from the pre-selected section.

Of course, I tried to say that you should select each notification: sound, vibration and led and switch to any other option: select another sound, apply, return to the previous one and apply. Do this for vibration and led, select any other option apply, return and apply for which you prefer to use and apply.

In my Whatsapp worked.

I've changed configuration in WhatsApp applications, I've set no vibration and no led. After I've set white led and long vibration but there is no change

@ingbrzy please change base Xiaomi.eu roms to China. Please. China notification sucks, useless assistant, bug with 2 notifications. Not release public beta Oreo for Mi6.
Global have Public Oreo, great notificatios, better for Europe, You can throw away many translators because Global is already multilingual.
All we want this, china dev do buggy roms. Global not have bugs, better because have new notifications.

Did you apply when you moved to a temporary option before going back to the definitive and re-apply? In my case it worked.
Try quit Whatsapp and open again later.
Anyway this solution is a palliative, but it helped me.

Nothing in which mode do you apply change? Do you change in WhatsApp or in settings of mi6?

I also installed v1 and v2 and in my case this tip has made the notifications come back, but I'm still living with many bugs in this version :)
Probably next week we will have a version with part of these issues solved.

If you have patience make a backup (system, data, cache) via TWRP, reboot and then make a factory reset and configure just enough to test if Whatsapp works again for you, or waste no time and restore the backup and returns to the current state. In that case we will have to wait for the new version next week.

Speaking of charging, 8.0 vs 7.1.1. Stock charger in both cases. Same phone.

On Mi Note 3 ringtones in Sounds menu is mute
:(
Notification is disappear from lockscreen when receive another one ...Viber, Whatapp, Allo...etc
