You have Global and China Roms. Global Stable and Global Developer, China Stable and China Developer.
You must decided what rom, i usr Global developer.

I recommended flash phone via SP FLASH with use Fastboot rom MIUI Global Developer.

For Redmi Note 3 MTK exist only China Miui roms Stable and Developer, 8.1.25 too.
China roms have English language, but not have another.

You must flash phone with use SP Flash too with use Fastboot China Miui tom(tgz)

Or stay on last Xiaomi.eu roms, or try another custom etc.

Guide how flash Redmi Note 3 - Yours is Mtk, than use only steps for MTK, but use newer rom fastboot from me.

Yes, more does not equal better - I am battling the same thing here in Manila, with five LTE bands.
A lot of people involved in RF Planning do not understand interference management, and try to solve what is perceived as a capacity issue with more sites, but it does the opposite if interference is the problem.

The only practically usefull question that occurs to me for now is if there is any point to rooting a phone to be able to test locking it to specific LTE bands. I really do not want the hassle of rooting.

My wife has operator Bite on a monthly plan, Bite seems to have better functionality, haven't really checked.
Switching operators for me is not an option, LMT is the only one here with unlimited mobile data @ EUR 2.50/week on prepaid cards.

Addendum:

Should add that I have not noticed any differences in how the LTE networks work in Latvia or Sweden between different phones or roms.

There doesn't seem to be any point in changing roms to try to improve network performance.

However I have noted that I can get up to 10% higher download speed by connecting through wifi to a router using the same LTE network as the phone itself uses. The router is a cheap Huawei E5180 which does not get CA either.

Some expert on the Swedish forum said that this is to be expected - the phone is too busy doing other things to give the LTE modem high priority, whereas the router is dedicated to that only.

I have found with Network Signal Guru that their "Band lock" function does not work very well.
I have had the same problems with "band lock" on dedicated mobile drive-testing systems such as TEAMS & NEMO, so I would not recommend that course of action.

Hi, thanks for the rom. I have two questions:

1) Why, in MIUI weather app, when I click "more details", It opens external browser? Two-Three versions ago It remains in the app.

2) Can I change the bookmarks "miuipolska.pl, MIUIos.cz, ecc."?

No solutions?

Hello everyone,
I have a small question about the EOL.
I have a Redmi Note 2. What should I do, which update should I install from now?
And in the future, will there still be security updates? Will I have to take the Stable? Thank you all.
PS: Sorry for my bad english.

Eol its end of life update for this phone. No 8.1.25 xiaomi.eu for this phone and They dont release. Install/Stay last 8.1.18/11 or change to Global.

Thank you for answering me. So if I understand correctly I will have to install the stable official update to continue to benefit from the security updates? Not the stable of Xiaomi.eu

No links no ota for HM NOTE 2 Why?????
You cant read?

Redmi Note 2 - completed support from Xiaomi.eu, you have a description of EOL in the first post about the topic. There is no Rom 8.1.25 for RN2, and neither will nor come out later, no OTA too.

Reason: problems with the compilation of roms for this phone, and for Redmi Note 3 MtK, the space on the system partition has ended.

8.1.18 Xiaomi.eu this is last rom for this phone

https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939813600

You can flash and stay forever or change to Miui Global rom(Developer 8.1.25 and in future newer) or Stable.

Sir Global Stable for Rn2 is very old its still Miui 8, If You want new Miui 9 now You must flash fo Global Developer roms, example for Miui Global 8.1.25.
For this phone exist China Miui too, and its Miui 9 Stable and Miui 9 Developer, but China dont have many language like as Global.
