Even if its weird this is my way to install Oreo on MIX and it worked and its clean:
1. on your current rom wipe every single partition (yes even internal) and format data using twrp and fastboot.
2. using miflashtool flash global 9.2.1.0
3. install twrp 3.0 by mrrains
4. wipe every single partition (yes even internal) and format data using twrp and fastboot.
5. using miflashtool flash global 9.2.1.0
6. flash twrp "twrp-3.2.1-raupe-blunden-15.1-vendor-fstab"
7. format data using twrp and fastboot
8. wipe data cache and dalvik
9. copy the 8.3.29 rom from pc and flash it
10. wipe cache and dalvik
11. reboot and have fun!

Download Twrp 3.2.1 raupe from: here

Picture in Picture works!

well I think you can update normally but the thing is that the update is android 8.0 and you are using 7.0.
for android updates its very not recommended to just flash it like a normal update there will be a lot of bugs and laggs.
use my instructions above for a clean start on 8.0

[QUOTE = "CobraHo, post: 414373, membro: 177852"] ho mimix1, quindi se vuoi cambiare oreo 8.0 significa dover cancellare tutti i dati e perdere tutti i dati all'interno? [/ QUOTE]

you could try and let us know if it works.

according to me oreo brings only problems.

yes, just like ANY other Android update in the first couple of versions. Only fools who do not need their phone for any real life application (but spend their time tinkering) are eager to install a new Android. Hoping for a bugfree - or even improved - user experience is totally unwarranted, and was ever since the inception of Android. Wait a couple of months until the smoke settles, check what early adopters report (which isn't good at all for Oreo, by the way), then re-think, and maybe finally install it.

This is the 1st beta version of Oreo for Mix, many bugs and annoying things will be there.

Maybe that's the meaning of :
Optimization - System-level adjustment for alarms, messages, and notifications (03-29)

dirty flashed on MI6 [from previous weekly]. Boot OK, everything seems OK.....
BUT serious issue with "cloned apps": after install and reboot today update, I tried to launch a cloned app game but I received error "cannot launch. retry" [or something similar]
I uninstalled the cloned GooglePlayGame & the game in obyect [wiping cloned data, done in automatic during clone uninstall].
Then I did the clone again and now it works good.

No idea what could happen if someone have other cloned apps like WhatsApp or similar.

Redmi Note 4X looks fine.
Except the data usage in German language for month shows no data. In English everything fine.
I have reported this to translation team.
