Swipe on the notification to the left, click the gear icon and disable the notification. This is normal. Same thing on AOSP, it is meant for security purposes.

Mi Max1 Prime (helium)

Also got 4 unwanted functional dual apps on boot, that are not selected for dual apps in settings, and cannot be just deleted either it seems.

Notes, Updater, Mi Video, Scanner.

They are still there after 2 reboots, and I even got a unwanted dual app copy of Dolby Atmos after having installed it in TWRP.

Otherwise everything seems to work, have not had time to test much yet.

Anyone know how to get rid of these?

??

(Re unwanted dual apps Mi Max1 helium)

I couldn't find any way to just delete these 4 dual apps, so I did my standard fix: wipe data partition and then restore my previous TWRP backup, in this case from 8.8.9.

That worked, everything seems to work and is back to what I had before the update.

Is the data partition prone to light corruption during flashing of a new ROM, which then leaves it alone after restoring a TWRP backup?
Just speculating . . .

Though I did get a dual app for Dolby Atmos when I installed it in TWRP, but that might be normal, for it? Don't know enough.

yea, I tried to roll back to previous ver, which is 8.8.9, and everything went back to normal, tried 8.8.16 again, still had that problems with those same apps, so need to stick with 8.8.9 for now.

I have installed miui 9.6 - 8.4.19 in a redmi note 3 pro, it is necessary to delete the data partition when installing miui 10 - 8.8.16?, Thanks.

Just curious but how exactly do I do backup of my currently rom and mount it later ?

You maybe missed what I did - I restored my TWRP backup of the data partition from 8.8.9 on the 8.8.16 rom, did not roll back the rom
