Hi guys
There is this bug on my Redmi Note 4 (mido) with the Mi Remote app, basically you put any remote configuration and you close the app or lock the phone and then if you unlock the phone and touch the app again to use it then the config has disappeared and it has to be manually enter again so you can use the remote, its so annoying

Ok so i flashed the rom on Poco F1 and it is really awesome, better than the stock global stable i was on previously (miui 9 v 9.6.14).
I saw that this rom for Poco is not based on China rom and many of the features stated at op, are not present, like 3way power menu, importing themes
etc.
Our ROMs features (Whats not in Global):
  • Based on China Stable / Weekly builds (except HMNote3SE, POCOF1)

Why is that? Is a future release for Poco goind to be based on China rom?

enable 3way power menu in dev settings.. theme importing works also for you.. there is no china rom for poco..

Hello!

Well, after OREO update on my MI 5S PLUS, battery life is not the same anymore. It is draining fast and the phone is getting hot. Also i just tried to clear cache and dalvik from twrp and when it booted after that, the battery went to 11%. It was 44% before rebooting it.

What may be the problem? Should i wait for the update or shuld i go back to 7.0? Can i? Thanks!

Thank you so much! Your decision helped. But, when I went into the settings, it was already off. Although yesterday, the SMS did not work.
They helped me a lot. On the job you need to use SMS often, but here it happened.
Sometimes if problem is there and switch is off you need just to turn it on and back off then reboot. I remeber this problem from early miui 7 or 8.

It's no and no for me. There is no option in developer settings for 3way power menu and theme porting is not working! Can you plz be more specific of how these can work? Maybe I am missing something. Everything else is ok though.

When I want to update mi 8se, here that writes, in what a problem?View attachment 21049
A known problem.
Two options you could try.
Hold the button to download for a longer time. On my Redmi Note4x about 15 seconds... Then my phone will start downloading.
Or try downloading manually and install it yourself. Three dots right upper corner, choose the ROM you downloaded.

Thanks.
All seems ok in my Redmi 4x Santoni.
Only when I root with Magisk 17.1 the phone reboots continously. I back from Magisk 16.0, and the problem disappeared.

Thanks, Can I update OTA without wiping \ factory reset entire phone between updates?
Currently i have 8.8.30 version installed, i want to use the online update option from "Settings -> My device -> MIUI version"
Will it require full wipe? Or can I "dirty" update using this method (and is it safe?)

Thanks

To prevent FC's update it via dirty flash.

Not sure I understood?
Does this means that dirty flash is safe, but update OTA is not?
By dirty flash you mean download the zip and flash it through recovery? won't it full-wipe automatically?
Thanks

That is - unfortunately - my experience with EVERY single Android update. They are all announced as the best power-saving version of all times, and in real life, the battery life always gets worse. One such invention, "doze", was rated particularly high before it came out in Android 7 - and now that we have it for over a year, we see that, yes, the phone dozes often, but still needs more energy than ever before. Oreo is just the same, but again a bit worse. Announced as power-saving, it is not at all better. Same for MIUI 10. Now I have MIUI 10 under Android 8.1, and the battery life is WAY worse than it was with MIUI 9 under Android 7.

I'm currently on 8.9.13 weekly (Mi 8) and OTA for this version is still not available. Can I expect OTA in future or it's better to do manual update?

Mi Pad 4
Can you resize clock icon and navbar? They're too big, and I notice the standby (or doze) is too aggressive! I tried to leave the tablet for some hours and I notice it doesn't receive notifications from any app and double tap to wake doesn't work. I need to press the power button and leave for some seconds turned on to forced to wake up the tablet from this sleepy "mode" and received again notifications
