I have the same problem and no one answered my question...I'm not sure is it a rom bug, an app bug or smth with themes server...

I have not any errors on Mi 5x (Android 7.1) in Themes, but have on Mi 6x Android 8
Something's different between Android versions, or devices...

What website, link?

Considering that the eu ROMs are based on the Chinese ROMs, they should feel right at home on a Chinese device!
But I am just guessing . . .

But I should have problems flashing an eu ROM on my confirmed Official Global Mi Note 2?
Not so far at least . .

Please dont share a panic and not full information.. If you unlock bootloader, you can flash whatever you want.. you just can not lock your bootloader on china ROM flashed to Global device.. thats all.. and as unlocked bootloader is required to install our ROMs, it means nothing for our users...

This is not entirely true...
You can still flash Global ROM on China device and also China ROM on Global device and use it without any issue in case you have bootloader unlocked and if you keep bootloader unlocked. Just not allowed to relock the bootloader with Global ROM on China device and also with China ROM on Global device, otherwise device will be bricked as it will stuck in Mi Recovery (see attached screenshot). I tested it by flashing Global ROM on China device using MiFlash with lock bootloder flashing option and got bricked, but I easily unbricked it by unlocking bootloader again. So it is easy to unbrick if device bound to your Mi account otherwise device will be hardbricked as no way to unlock bootloader again. So, highly recommended to keep device bound with Mi account...

In this matter our ROMs are not affected...

I've just upgraded my MI 8 to 8.9.24.
All ok, without clean flash.
Some icons are now fixed (were weird...)
I can't see other improvement right now.
AOD notifications are still broken
Google assistant can't be voice activated

Google voice thing didn't work either in 8.9.20.
I just upgraded to 8.9.24 and you are right, still not working.
But I noticed that NFC has disappeared too!!
@gulp79 Could you please confirm that your NFC has disappeared too?
Thanks.

under settings, more settings, i've NFC enabled, and is working...

This is so weird. What should I wipe in TWRP before installing the ROM?

I don't know for sure... i've done a clean flash from v8.8.30 to 8.9.13
Then I've dirty flashed (only format on Dalvik and cache before, and after rom upgrade) for flash from 8.9.13 to 8.9.20 and then to 8.9.24.

I can suggest to format dalvik and cache partitions, then reinstall 8.9.24 and then format again dalvik and cache, and reboot to system...

I'm gonna do that. Thabks!
