So report it to German lang translation repository..dont know who do you mean, but If I set Mi8 to english, the AOD selection is working, no crash....
so it is an language issue (german)

Yep, can reproduce this. Aod gets force closed in German, problems are gone when switching to Englishdont know who do you mean
so it is an language issue (german)

BTW, the graphic display of the battery level of my Whyred is still drawn in black despite the dark mode and the black background that make it invisible.

confirmed, 9.5.23 not usable on Mi9 - can't even pass the lockscreen after 2nd reboot.

Using German Language?
Same problem for me, not able to unlock, only worked with Fingerprint.
After Switching Phone Language to Englisch all is fine for now.
Mi Mix 1 (lithium) updated, no problems so far, working fine.
Have not tried with simcard yet, will test tonight.
Baseband version unchanged.
Security patch level still 20181001.

Try to reflash the Rom, Clean Cache and Dalvik Reboot and try to switch the Phone to englisch. It seems something is really messed up with German Language Pack in this Release. For me it was not possible to Type the PIN after Boot, no screen reaction in any way. After Reflashing, Cache cleaning and switching to Englisch directly after the first boot the Phone is working as expected.

After some reboots it worked at least to be able to change the language. Reverted to 9.5.16 anyway
same Problems on Mi9 SE (german) ... on email app the icons with back, home and tab select are missing. Rebooted the phone to get back to homescreen but now i cant draw my passwort after sim pin. Phone reacts also very slow.

deepblue2000 has already opened a Ticket. I think this is all related to the AOD thing, which is affecting the complete Lockscreen Features.
But i will try to add some more Info to the Bug Report anyway...

Mi 9se doesn't work properly for me.
Unlocking doesn't work well, neither via fingerprint nor with hw key's.
Hw key's doesn't wake up phone. Fingerprint unlocks but no notification bar/navigation bar available and then locks device again.
Also various apps "stop working" from time to time.
Coming from latest global stable with data wipe.
AnY suggestions or good working weekly version's to try?

If mi9 battery drain is not fixed in this version i am dropping this rom
mi8 working great, no longer reboot problem like last week. Will test DC dimming soon with other phone`s camera.
