With this weekly superwallpaper isnt work fine. The Saturn's asteroids dont move and... When will u fix Google Assistant? Thanks!
Google Assistent is fine for me but you are right in regards to Saturn Wallpaper, Damned, since we are EOL, may we kindly ask if @Igor Eisberg or @ingbrzy could provide a flashable zip for us once it's fixed?

The older Saturn was moving but started to blurry after some time, extracting those might cause other issues, thx in advance!

Regards.

Wrong network preferred type, defaults to Chinese LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS (Redmi Note 7 certainly; probably others):

A comment about mobile network selection. This has already been said, and by someone more knowledgeable than me, but it remains a potential issue with a ROM derived from the Chinese one. The phone supports several modes of communication; in Europe LTE is the 4G mode and WCDMA the 3G one. There is also a TD-SCDMA 3G mode, available only in China. The phone can fall back to 3G if 4G is not available. This is generally true for mobile phones; in particular mine is the Redmi Note 7 (RN7, lavender), with weekly xiaomi.eu ROM. By default the phone is set up to use LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS, in that order. This means, as far as I can see, that if 4G is not available it will fall back to a data band that only works in China. There is a setting in a hidden menu that allows LTE/WCDMA to be set. However, the phone defaults to LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS initially; if changed, at every ROM update, and often when doing things with the INFO menu, it reverts. [Added: it also reverts after rebooting the phone.]

To select LTE/WCDMA: go to the INFO menu by keying into the phone dialler the string *#*#INFO#*#*, click on the SIM you are using (1 or 2), find and click on the entry LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS, and select LTE/WCDMA on the list that drops down. After doing this you will find that a non-hidden Setup option SIM cards & mobile networks > [your SIM card] > Preferred network type, with option to prefer LTE, 4G, or 2G has no option selected; if you choose "Prefer LTE" you will be back to LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS

So, FOR USERS I suggest setting LTE/WCDMA from the INFO menu after every ROM update (unless this gets fixed);

FOR DEVELOPERS I suggest changing the default preferred network setting for xiaomi.EU ROMs to LTE/WCDMA instead of LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS, and ensuring that selecting the preferred network type preserves this setting.

I can't really test this as I am always in places with a good 4G signal, so the phone never falls back to 3G, so changing to LTE/WCDMA isn't necessary (but it does no harm).

Best wishes

Hi all ! I come to ask if the fact of not having the update of xiaomi mi 9 on sourceforge is synonymous that it is not intended for the update automatically and if it is not stable for use weekly. Thank you for your time and your response

Yesterday I changed from stock to xiaomi EU and have a problem with AOD
Even though it's turned off it uses about 15% of the battery.
Any solution?

Yes, I see this in my mi10 and probably it is reason why I have problem with phone call (5-10sec stop signal during talking). But, when you restart your phone, unfortunetlly the option restart to and back lte/td-scdma/UMTS). You too?

I can confirm Avast definitions don't update on gingko too.
The camera will save the HDR setting if you have Save previous mode in Settings enabled.
MI8 SE
Now update to 20.9.4 and it does not update AVAST or AVL definitions.
In 20.9.3 AVL yes updated.
NOTE: AVAST does not update on my global MI9 either. It is xiaomi problem. AVL yes updates.

In response to my post on thge phone always reverting to lte/td-scdma/UMTS instead of the desired lte/wcdma:

Yes; I've edited my original post to add that it reverts to lte/td-scdma/UMTS after reboot, too. Not an actual problem for me, in a 4G zone, and easy to remedy when you realise it has happened with *#*#INFO#*#*, but it's really a problem with the ROM which I'd hope is not too difficult to fix. Might affect all xiaomi.eu phones? Good luck and best wishes, pol098

If the devs were to change for Europe, the setting should be "LTE/UMTS auto (PRL)", not "LTE/WCDMA", but yes without TD-SCDMA.

For UMTS is better than WCDMA:

And for PRL:

What fix? We have nothing to do with the development of the Saturn wallpaper...

Yes I know that, but when a bugfree version might be out, then you could be so kind and share it to us EOL Users as well, that would be nice and very kind!

Thx in advance :)

This update is probably the smoothest MIUI 12 build so far on Davinci. Opening/closing apps, transitions and animations are better than previous versions. Still some lags and stuttering once in a while, but definitely improved. Hope incoming updates can keep increasing smoothness, MIUI 12 still needs optimizations to be as fast and smooth as MIUI 11.

Hey guy I manually downloaded and installed this update to my MI 9, then it asked if I wanted to install TWRP, and I said yes. Now it's just boot looping to the screen that says MI - powered by android with the unlock icon at the top.. I can get it to fastboot mode if I hold volume down and power.. what did I do wrong? any ideas on how to fix this? I tried using fastboot to revert to an older TWRP version and it still boot loops to that screen

Why would you want to install twrp if it already had twrp (if it didn't, how did even flash it)?
Go to fastboot, reflash twrp for your device, reboot to twrp (vol up+power), flash rom, flash dfe, boot.
You need to format data if you're coming from stock miui.

I've searched more deeply for the many references to "WCDMA" and have found a very relevant post from somebody who knows what they are saying. I quote without comment, beyond saying that I don't have the required knowledge for anything deep.:

issue ... for MI 9:
1. preferred network type is LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS
it's suitable only for China!

You're completely clueless to how this works. You have nothing to do in the hidden Test menu.
"Prefer 4G" or "Prefer LTE" is an auto-switching mode between TD-SCDMA/GSM/WCDMA/LTE.

So my post may have been due to misunderstanding what happens. It does clearly appear that the Chinese network is selected, but that may be deceptive. My concrete suggestion is: if you think you have this problem, do some controlled tests with TD-SCDMA and WCDMA to see if there is any measurable difference in performance where there is no good LTE/4G signal. I'm always in a good LTE area, so can't test.

If my post was misleading, I apologise. And, of course, thanks to the developers for their excellent work on developing this ROM.

Can you justify why you force people to flash DFE stuff?
Not needed at all on MI9T

Hey guys i think iv'e found a bug where the swipe up to go home and swipe up to see recents do not work on the Poco F2 Pro, for some reason when i finish the inital setup it asks me whether i want to use the buttons or the gestures and no matter which one i choose, shortly after the phone does like a mini reboot and the gestures stop working only the swipe to go back works.

Thank you so much for the wonderful journey using Xiaomi.eu ROMs. It's time to bid farewell for SD 845 devices. You guys have really done a great job maintaining the ROM. Thank you developers and testers :D

The final review from me will be coming later.
Goodbye!
Waiting for it

Firstly!! Thanks for your great work devs and testers!! Does anyone know what UI System is and why it consumes so much? the battery is worse than in the previous version, in my case.. maybe because of the UI System. Thanks!!!!!
