How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Redmi K40 / Poco F3

The problem is that it gives me a black screen after fastboot boot twrp.img unless I do this:
1) Factory data from the miui recovery
2) immediately go to fastboot "fastboot boot twrp.img" or run_twrp.bath same thing
3) then the twrp works but since I had to factory reset I can't flash the EU.rom without copying it again, but if I mount the storage in twrp it says 0mb / unknown even after doing "format yes". I'm kinda stuck here.. I miss the only A partition this is insane.
You force me to repeat!
Now you must flash a fastboot rom via MIFLASH and restart the process as follow:
- boot TWRP file via fastboot instruction.
-install eu rom.
nothing else needed.
DON'T FLASH TWRP it will be done with EU rom.

Just rebooting after doing a format data in twrp didn't erase my global stock firmware LOL it's normal? No need to use miflash

you are the boss!
Yep, Big Boss here. I think something's weird with my phone.
I've flashed roms since the sony Ericcson x10 mini times and never had real problems.
I tried to sideload something, it succeded but not showing up in the twrp like it doesn't update

Sorry, nothing special with your phone. But You only forget about a/b partition.

As I said before, it's not that the twrp failed to boot, the screen just stayed black for some reasons if not immediately after a factory reset from the stock recovery.
Anyway now after trying so many tries, twrp did finally boot up properly and with a working storage.
I've copied the room and flashed it. Xiaomi.eu rom finally! o_O I just lost a night of sleep

Hi.

I have one question. I'm totally outsider of this matter. Which version is better to install weekly or stable for poco f3?

Thanks

It's just your choice.

Weekly version = beta test, which may contain various bugs. Updated every week.
Stable version = for daily use. Irregular updates in the range of 1-3 months.

I use weekly ROM for normal use.

Can I follow the same instructions coming from Lineage OS? or something will be different?

Edit: I went ahead and gave it a try, followed the instructions, worked perfectly! Thanks for the guidelines :D

can we flash other kernels on EU ROM ( sorry if the question is irrelevant to the topic )

Quick questions, is Wiping Dalvik cache necessary after flashing? I noticed the Themes are mostly in Chinese, is there any workaround? Or themes doesn't work anyway since we're way in the future? What do you guys use or where do you get themes? I found some .mtz files but the Themes file isn't able to see the themes.

1) Should be not necessary to wipe Dalvik & Cache but you can always do it, it never hurts. ;)

2) Xiaomi.eu include the Chinese Themes store by Xiaomi because it has more features than the Global Themes store.

3) Themes require to be updated by their creators to support MIUI 12.5+, to fully work on latest ROMs.

4) To import .mtz file: Open Themes app > Go on "My account" (bottom-right button) > Tap on "Themes" tile > Tap on "Import" button (scroll down to see it)

;)

Yeah, the name Dalvik itself sounds he's going to take care of himself.

I know, it's my fault because I am a Chinese but cannot read, never attended any Chinese language classes.

Actually I have been switching to and forth between EU and global, sometimes the Google Dialer really quite unfriendly but I am very familiar on which app is safe to remove and which isn't while here in EU because I always used the weekly beta so there are so much more unknown packages popping up. As you may have already known that MIUI themes packages are thrown into the app list together just like that making it look more messy, Actually, I havent thought is it possible to remove those installed packages that should be related to "theming" like Orchid, Pebble, Ocean. It seems like the dev removed it's content but the annoying name just stuck there.

Unfortunately, I also cannot use MIUI+ Beta (language), MiDrive (Only available in China) & MiCloud (can't back up some features that requires activate
SIM)
4) To import .mtz file: Open Themes app > Go on "My account" (bottom-right button) > Tap on "Themes" tile > Tap on "Import" button (scroll down to see it)
I guess I do at least get some positive outcome here. LOL.

Cheers man.

The TWRP kit link is not working. Please fix it.
