i have the same issue, downloaded from pc

i did all of the suggestions on this thread, but the problem still exists. everytime i check it still works, but when i receive a facebook message a chathead pops up only 1/10th of the time, and when it doesn't, draw over other apps is also disabled again.

i wish miui wasn't so aggressive on memory management, facebook messenger chat heads are very untable because of this. every time i have to allow messenger to draw over other apps. pebble has issues as well, every now and then i need to enable accessability settings for the pebble app

it seems that the launcher doesn't extend behind the statusbar, this causes some transition effects to clip items that go behind the statusbar during the transition. this isn't the case with official miui 7 as well as 8, but it is with the eu versions of both miui versions

oh okay, makes sense, otherwise you'd get errors in decompiling as well. but if there are only some default translations missing, shouldn't it work anyway?

so i'm running the latest miui 8 build now. i'm getting used to flashing all over again after years of using windows phone. there's one question, is it possible to turn off double press volume down to open camera from lockscreen? it's pretty annoying when listening to music and adjusting my volume.

i think you should add some apk files as a source, i haven't done modifications for a long time now, so i don't know how it works anymore. back then there was an apktool menu, with which you could easily install sources and de/recompile apk's and more

yeah that's what i thought, but coming from windows insider preview i'm used to be running early alpha builds. i also got the translated version running now, so far it's pretty well translated to dutch. it's pretty stable to me. except for the recent app previews, which don't update on pressing home

oh wait, it should be newer than 6.6.1.. but i hope this works, as they put it on internal storage, and the latest i can find on this site is 6.5.x

oh i'm sorry, didn't see the part about 6.6.1, i get it now, will try 6.6.1 then, as it came on the internal storage with my phone, wasn't sure if that was the one i need, as i couldn't install it before, and i'm new to miui flashing

so i should try install the fastboot rom again and then install twrp and then flash miui 8 through recovery?

i downloaded the latest, i think, 6.5.31, and installed it through the updater app in the latest stable fastboot rom. it says miui 8 by xiaomi.eu 6.5.31 | beta in settings, android version is 6.0.1 mmb29m

so it is correct i can only select english and polish, chinese and 3 other languages? the thing is, when i got this phone it was preinstalled with miui 8, and it was mostly in dutch, but i tried cm13 for a while, so i couldn't get that rom back till i found this website. now i'm running miui 8...

however, i did install miui 8 from this website/forum through the updater app from the latest stable global build, and that did work. too bad it's not translated in dutch as far as i can see

no, i didn't do it twice, how do i go about that? i thought that i already had the merged partitions, i do have only one system partition, and it's 1.2gb according to some app
