I have chosen Day/Month/Year format in "Settings" but in Messaging (Iphoney like view) in conversation - message dates are in Month/Day/Year format.
Also: There is standard for DD/MM/YYY format to write let say month not as "3" but as "03". This applies for days < 10 && months < 10.
