Resolved 2.3.16 BUGS

Ok here are the major bugs I found in the NEXUS S version :

so the 4g should not be there, the power menu is messed up, gallery doesn't work, THE LOCKSCREEN IS IN CHINESE and there are more. Seriously, there bugs should not happen. I prefer a rom uploaded sunday that is tested and with no bugs than one uploaded a few minutes after official that is unusable. It's logical. Thanks anyway, but these decisions should be obvious

The ROM has been tested! If you want to act like some one ungrateful then please feel free. I have this ROM flashed and 100% working on my Nexus S, full data and cache wipes too.

I am unsure of what you are doing differently. Please explain? Also what Locale are you set to in Settings > Language and input?

i wiped /boot, /data, /cache, /system, and /sdcard. That is a proper full wipe. Please do so and test it again...

I would advise you to be patient, everything is being done to adress NUMEROUS issues right across all roms. Or feel free to visit MIUI China Site report your bug there.

Issues are now fixed, sorry for the delay! Hopefully this one works for you. I've full wiped and checked and this one is working OK.

/famework-miui-res.apk/res/values/bools.xml:

<bool name="android_config_wimaxEnabled">@android:bool/lockscreen_isPortrait</bool>

should be:
<bool name="android_config_wimaxEnabled">@android:bool/config_wimaxEnabled</bool>

Hi. Thought I'd say thanks first... great rom.
Using SGS2. No power button bug. Got the gallery bug but works after having taken a photo.
One bug though is that when playing tunein radio app it doesn't like if I do anything else. Phone turns itself off. It doesn't do it straight away but repeatedly occurs.

edit: same goes for beyondpod app. Opened browser while playing a podcast and off it went.

first and foremost thanks for your work. Rom nearly perfect.

I did full wipe (factory reset, cache, dalvik cache)
I have to say that I also get the following bugs on SAMSUNG GALAXY S2:

1)Lockscreen in chinese
2)Gallery crashes if I open through settings>display>wallpaper>gallery
3)A couple of applications gave error and would refuse to install from Play Store...more specifically applications TUBE MAP and LONDON UNDERGROUND FREE. I get "error couldn't install on USB Storage or SD Card". Will update this post if I find other apps with the same problems as well.

I also have a some questions. Is it possible to change boot animation (if so how) and have Samsung Apps store (if so how)?Lastly, how can I get overclock unlocked to up to 1600mhz. Any working kernels you would suggest?

3. FC logcat reports would be helpful.

/system/media/bootanimation.zip is the boot file. Re clock speeds, check other kernels

From SGS II
When I want to select a app to protect with pattern the settings app crashes.
Camera is from Samsung ICS (not that I mind )
The phone sometimes works slow.
There are two calender apps.
and the lockbutton stops working sometimes, dont know why.
and some icons are too big e.g

Hi, I have an SGS2.
I have picked up that my keyboard has swapped the "z" and the "y" around.
Is this a reported bug or is this something that is only on my phone?

*Update* I just made my keyboard from Android Keyboard to Samsung Keyboard and it fixed the issue

Fixed the lockscreen,however I don't understand why point 2 is a user end thing. After complete wipe without doing anything, if I open gallery the way I told you, it crashes......is there something I can do to fix this?

wipes dont touch SD CARD Caches etc... hence user end problems

The Google Play cant install apps issue is an issue with the beta base used for Miui SGS2 an not with the actual Miui software persay.

Anyone having huge battery drain ?
I mean a real drain, like 1% every 5 min.
Moreover battery drops even in charge (USB connected to computer) and phone become very hot

Flashing back to stock, it doesn't charge at all this bug seems a bit dangerous^^

Ok I formatted all memories, gallery seemed to work ok as long as there were 0 pictures in the phone. As soon as I saved a picture in the phone from the internet browser, the gallery continues to crash again if I open it as described above. It is not a user error, it's a miui bug and I hope you guys find a solution to it.

UPDATE: Apparently if there is a picture in a different folder than extsd>DCIM, the gallery crashes.
I moved the picture I had in sdcard>download in the DCIM folder and it begun to work again....

Found another small bug. If I change the main wallpaper and lockscreen wallpaper...I lock my screen with side button and then click to unlock, for a spit second I see the original MIUI wallpaper before it changes to my currently set wallpaper...any way to fix this?
