I'm also having pretty fierce battery drain and my phone's running very hot.

ALSO - another bug that it'd be nice for someone else to verify...
I can't send SMS's over 1 sms long, instantly fails.

Another small bug is Wi-Fi in status bar toggles is listed as W-Fi - not at all a big deal but thought you should know

Other than that its running beautifully, feels good to be back on miui

SGS2 Rom work perfect only small issue is toggle 2g/3g doesn't work system UI crash other than that i didn't have any FC...

PS Deep Sleep is perfect....

Well some tips users can try :

Reboot into CWM & clear dalvik and wipe cache partition

App issue ? sometimes it helps to clear the cache of the app which has a issue THEN reboot into cwm and wipe dalvik and wipe cache partition.

In more serious cases its sometimes wise to factory reset & wipe dalvik & clear cache partition before flashing a rom (MAKE SURE YOUR DATA IS BACKED UP AS ALWAYS)

Besides all the common bugs reported above, one bug that i noticed is, when playing a video from the gallery, if you lock the screen (so that u dont accidentally press anything) it just closes the display and pauses the video. And when u press the home button or the lock screen again, the only thing u can see is just the wall paper of your lockscreen and nothing else. No unlock button or anything and the sound from the video comes on again. Nothing else worked to either unlock the screen again or to bring the video display back. Had to reboot the phone to work. Can somebody else confirm this.

If people could "Like" posts that they can confirm that would help developers a lot. Some issues only have one user experiencing it and we can narrow bugs down to widespread problems by having those problems stand out.

1)Another bug on GALAXY S2, when I go to application management and try to move applications to USB storage I just get "Couldn't move app".

2)Also as I mentioned, there are some applications such as Tube Map from Play store, or Dead Space from Samsung Apps store that give "could not install on USB storage or SD card" - however others from samsung apps and play store install without problems. I would appreciate if someone could give an explanation on what I can do if anything, to fix this bug. Also when I try to install a couple of applications from their APKS and not from any store, I get "application not installed" which is really annoying. Is there some kind of permission block that I need to edit so that it can install everything? Please explain...is it because of ICS or what? Can someone please try any of these apps: tube map, where is my water free, dead space and let me know if they get the same problem?

3)In addition I confirm W-Fi in the toggles instead of Wi-Fi.

4)Small bug: If I change the main wallpaper and lockscreen wallpaper...I lock my screen with side button and then immediately click the side button to unlock, for a split second I see the original MIUI wallpaper before it changes to my currently set wallpaper...any way to fix this please advise?

5)Gallery crashes if the phone has pictures in various folders and not just the predefined camera folders(yes I did format everything to make sure everything was wiped properly and not just wipe caches/factory reset)

6)After each reboot Google Play Store reverts back to android market 3.4.4 and need to open it and have it update itself again...minor, but annoying....

7)Phone doesn't recognize numbers when i receive sms if they are saved in my contact list with the +countrycode. Makes phone usability crap

8)I believe this is connected to the fact that we can't move applications to the memory we want them to be in. Applications with widgets after reboot get the widget removed from the launcher. It is very annoying as we always have to reposition the widget.
Please let us know if the 8 issues mentioned are fixable. I love how the ROM looks however with these bugs I can't use it daily

I really, really appreciate everything you guys do, I really do. The MIUI is a great piece of software but you made a big mistake here. I don't know if this is because you did not use the official ICS S2 ROM or something else but this has way too many bugs. We really could wait another few weeks to get a software that is just as brilliant as the one before but this is almost useless.

I'll name just a few bugs, maybe it will help you. You probably know them already.

1. Lockscreen is in Chinese. I know that you know about this but it just doesn't make sense. But this is not a problem really.
2. For me, the gallery works but I did take a few photos from the start. What doesn't work is auto-rotate in gallery.
3. The phone is way slower then before. For example, auto-rotate when in browser or menus is really, really slow, it takes about 3-4 seconds.
4. When I go into Security and enable Access Control, if I try to select apps to protect it crashes.
5. Some menus are still black.
6. Can't change font. It says that it needs to restart and it does but when it reboots old font is still there.
7. Samsung keyboard is there which is great because it is much more precise then the old MIUI keyboard but there is no Swipe. It would be great to include that.
8. There are two Calendar apps.
9. When I try to add a Facebook account, when I choose Facebook from the list it does nothing. When I reinstall Facebook app it doesn't give me the option to Sync with my existing contacts.
10. In toggles, it says W-Fi instead of Wi-Fi.
11. When you long-press home screen you get a active apps menu. On bottom left corner there is a broom icon. I guess this is equivalent to App Killer in previous version but I don't know if this one really works. On the old one, when I click on "App Killer" it notifies me how much memory it freed, this one just closes the window.
12. The ROM is pretty unstable, I've never had a reboot but the applications would crash.

You have all my support and I know you will fix these things. I just think that we could've waited a week or more to get a proper, stable app. This is now bad for us but specially for you since now you have to fix these things quickly.

Sorry for taking out the anger. It wasn't intentional and I just cracked. If you watch some of the posts in the news topics or in our IRC channel you could begin to understand why I feel angered. Not to mention we are experience problems building on Ubuntu VS CentOS, so that doesn't help us at all.

As a new forum user,first hi all!
I've installed miuiandroid version of 2.3.16 for HTC Sensation,and everything pretty much works fine,but last night I've encountered a potentially big problem. I get random sms sending failure.Or at least I thought it was random,but now I think it only happens when I'm trying to send a message that contains more than 160characters/when message enters second message.It wont resend it or anything else,i need to divide that message manually and send it like 2 separate messages. Message info/detals says "Error Code:1". Any solution for this,why is this happening? Also I can not find those standard sms settings for sms service center number,max validation period and similar stuff...
Help please

Hey,
I flashed 2.3.16 yesterday on mg SGS2 and it's running really smooth. Really GREAT work guys.

Untill now I've found 6 bugs:

1. Lockscreen isn't fully translated (I've installed V4 lockscreen but also there I found some untranslated text like when buttery is running low)
2. Rotation isn't working in gallery browsing photos
3. Samsung keyboard is QWERTZ instead of QWERTY
4. In messaging app when you go to recomended everything is in Chinese
5. In browser when I go to setting I can see something like "Unfortunately, %1$s has stopped
6. When I try to add Facebook to accounts to sync nothing happens

Will report back later if I find some more bugs

I confirm all of the above except browser error. To me on sgs2 the browser works fine.

Lockscreen v4 gives low battery in chinese and recommended in msging all in chinese. if not possible to translate maybe just delete all of it?

Clock app doesn't have chronometer and stopwatch like original samsung one right? Is it possible to add those?

Hi,

A few more things:
1) I can see in my sync settings "Google Photos" turned on, but the gallery doesn't show them.
2) There's a 1 mb limit check, it keeps telling me to turn my wi-fi on. Almost al files in the android mark has a wi-fi sign. Shouldn't this be something like 15 mb or something?
3) Some same bugs mentioned in previous posts.

All this on a SGS2 with miui 2.3.16 ICS. Looking forward to next weeks update.

1- FC when accessing Settings -> Sound -> Volumes.

2- FC when trying to choose background from gallery by: Menu -> Wallpaper -> Desktop Wallpaper -> Others -> Gallery.

3- FC when accessing Settings-> Display -> Brightness

4-FC in contacts app after rotation.

5-Auto-Rotation doesn't work on images in gallery

I followed the correct procedures for flash.
