I have the same issue. I can't reach notifications (with or whithout Control Center enabled). The screen gets black and the only thing I can do is to unlock the phone again.
I found that if I change the language of the phone (mine was in catalan) the problem solves, so try to change yours to English and see if that works.

If you did dirty flash you need to format all data and reinstall

Hello, did you try to uninstall/reinstall non-working apps?

Hello, just this short word to say

#1 thank you to the devs !!!
#2 I still have the same issue that I had with the latest MIUI11 xiaomi.eu ROM with my Mi 9 SE: When unlocking the icons don't show up on home screen.
That's a 100% clean install with format /data. Started to happen after I install like 10 to 15 apps. Based on my observations with MIUI11, this was related to the base launcher. With another launcher I had no issues. This still happens with "20.4.30 - First MIUI 12".
BTW, if I tap a notification and unlock the screen, then slide from bottom to top to get to the home screen, no issues. Icons are there on the home screen.
The issue happens only when I unlock the phone from the lock screen (without going to any apps)

I really hope someone can fix this.
Bests,
BlueBerry

Hola. Atentamente. Saludos.

It's not launcher fault i use nova the lags the bugs and especially the battery drain is huge i have a max 3 with 5.500mha
Before of miui 12 from 95 to 15 i reach easy 10 hours screen time now 8 max with limited usage.
And my note 7 is the same.

Thank you so much! It's the second time I have issues because Catalan language since I use xiaomi.eu ROMs (and that's a lot of time) so I didn't think about trying. I hope next update will fix it.

Moltes gràcies

Hello, I would like to ask other people using this beta how is the call volume for them.

I can barelly hear people talking. The volume is super low. Is there a way to check this?

Thanks for your support.

Here nothing wrong on Mi9 pro 5G, regardless the volume screen slider bug.

Stop eating at Burger King ! LOL!

... call volume ... I can barelly hear people talking. The volume is super low.
I've had this trouble; there's been a lot of discussion on Xiaomi (not .eu) forums, with no clearcut solution. Things that people say have happened: dirt in ear speaker hole; new phone with protective foil over speaker. Not in my case, with then-new RN7 (lavender). I've seen suggestions to increase digital volume; this does increase volume, but causes distortion, increasing with the boost. See this article for details. The method I recommend is to change analog volume, which doesn't distort seriously until clipping starts. This involves editing a system file, so you need a rooted phone (you might be able to copy the file off a not-rooted phone with the help of a custom recovery like TWRP, edit it, and copy it back).

There are several copies of file mixer_paths.xml; I think the one to edit is in /system/vendor/etc (the other relevant copy is in /vendor/etc; I think one is a link to the other).
In section <path name="handset">, edit the line
<ctl name="EAR PA Gain" value="POS_4P5_DB" />
This means that the gain is +4.5dB
I changed the value to "POS_7P5_DB"

Usual precaution: keep unaltered backup copy. I don't (yet) know if I'll have to repeat the edit after some update.

It can also help to press the volume-up button on the side during a call.

HTH
