Why I did this:
Because AOSP is nice and I want to bridge the time until we have cm10.1 by providing a improved version of xiaomi's AOSP.

Description:
  • Base: miui_NativeMI2_QDT14_44bd255a2d_4.1
  • Added: Koush's Superuser
  • Added: LBESEC_MIUI(Permission manager)
  • Changed: Replace camera with MIUIv5 camera
  • Changed: Nexus4's bootanimation
  • Changed: Set default language to en-US
  • Removed: SuperMarket
Changelog:
Code:
2013-06-29:
- let MiuiCamera use aosp's videoplayer
- remove MiuiVideoPlayer

2013-06-28:
- update miuiv5 camera to fix FC on video playback
- add MiuiVideoPlayer because camera needs it for videoplayback. but there isn't a icon in launcher

I do this just for fun but if you like my work it would be great if you want to spend me a beer :)

Installation:
  1. Download rom
  2. Copy the file as “update.zip” in the root directory of your sdcard
  3. Reboot into recovery and install the zip file
  4. Install gapps if you need them
Tips:
  • Use Nova-Launcher from play store because it supports grouping apps on home screen. I really missed this feature when I came from MIUI.
  • Install Xposed Framework and install one of these modules to get percentage battery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296698
  • Install F-Droid market: http://f-droid.org/ Then you have access to apps like Apollo MusicPlayer and CM-Filemanager

I suppose it can't be run along MIUI (dual boot)? Anyways, thanks a lot, and as Medina said: we are lucky to have you here!

Thank you very much! AOSP runs even smoother than MIUI on my M2S. Could I suggest you to implement latest Supercharger script with its patched services.jar? I always use it on my phones, and with 2GB of RAM I find very useful the big improvement of multitasking

Isn't the whole purpose of supercharger to save resources? With 2gb of ram u never need to end any processes.

Great news! There been a lot of development going on the past few weeks and I had a feeling that there was more to come. Just one question I are gapps required for this ROM? I have 4.1.1 gapps if needed.

thank you again M1cha for your work. All our Mi2's are better for it. Question tho. would you consider replacing Superuser with SuperSU? Other than that love this mod rom.

It's only one part of it; changing the Out Of Memory values usually helps to kill any lag when you use lots of apps at the same time. I used it on my HTC Desire and my Motorola Razr, and it really improved speed; there was no need to restart the phone every day because of the lag.
But I agree that in our M2 the improvement won't be noticeable (maybe it will be for Android 5.0 and up). But the better part of the Supercharger is the "Maximum Overdrive and Time Killer killer"
Mod 2. Maximum MultiTasking Mods for Froyo and above has 2 parts.
a. -=Maximum Overdrive=- This lets you run up to 70 hidden apps instead of the default 15 (RAM permitting) without breaking the lowmemorykiller!
Why only 15 by default? See the google groups link in Post 2

b. Time Killer Killer. This tries to bypass the 30 minute service inactivity limit by increasing it to 24 hours ;^]
Huge thanks to dorimanx from XDA Forums for ideas and the initial mod to bypass the lowmemorykiller for greater multitasking
You can read it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1914159

I think that this MOD completely takes advantage of our 2GB RAM

Ok thx for ur information.
Do you really need to restart your mi2 once a day? I never had any lags on any rom and I never needed to reboot my phone.

I just saw that photosphere cam has much problems.
Would u guys prefer stock AOSP or MIUI camera?

Yes Miui camera would be super fine. I was asking once ago if someone could make zip file for cwm.

I meant my other old phones. The Xiaomi has no lag at all. As said, I use this mod mostly for the increase in multi tasking ;)

The camera has a bluecast and the photo quality isn't good, but that will be fixed today by using MIUI camera.
I tried OTG but it doesn't seem to work. But it doesn't work for me (anymore) on any rom. Maybe my adapter is broken?

Great that you decided to port miui camera. Do you happen to know why sometimes data connection/wifi stop working? It happens when you try to turn them on/off and than a reboot is required.

YES!

Finally someone will port MIUI Camera to Stock Android...that was the only thing keeping me from changing to QDT based roms.

Unbelievable!
Thanks!!!
You think you will make it Multilanguage someday?

I don't think so because this is a little fun project and my main goal/project is cm10.1(which is multilang already)

btw: just saw that the downloadlink was still the old one so those who may've already downloaded it should do it again... sry

could you please add the google service into your rom? i think it would be much better with it.
btw,i like your work very much.:)
