no but wifi... gosh... any solution?
cannot roll back to stable without loosing data?
you have made a huge system modification by yourself.. revert all your changes and check if Wi-Fi is still broken for you..

It is also a "cache" folder
It doesn't get created "exactly as it was".
It gets created with the currently installed packages / apps on your device.
So if you remove an app, the package_cache for that app won't be recreated after you wipe that folder

After rom updates, the folder still holds package caches of your previous installation and this may lead to "apps misbehaving" on the new rom because of conflicts with the newer versions of the same package in the newly installed rom
I wonder why these actions are not included in the ROM updates - it would appear that it might save quite a bit of hassle if the caches were cleared and the package_cache folder deleted as part of the update. Doing it manually seems to have sorted out some of the problems brought up here.
What geoorg wrote isn't true though. package_cache is rebuilt after every ROM update.

What do you mean I made system modification? I have just disable a few non necessary apps

So if the build.fingerprint changes...this forces the cache to be rebuilt
Then i guess maybe sometimes android doesn't manage keeping "known cache" so well?
Because many users have found deleting this folder solves some cache related issues

Maybe, but I never encountered it since we are patching fingerprint with fingerprint_real (our prop which always keeps the original fingerprint of the ROM).

Hey, it appears that gestures are not working with 3rd party launchers, I tried the stock rom and it appears to be that way too (Poco F2 Pro)

Its a pretty common problem for Android 10+ with gestures, especially with MIUI

It's good to know that these are in fact included in the ROM installation - which ties up with the TWRP FAQs.
On top of that, I would suggest that we are never told the full story of problems either. Maybe the little extra things that people do and don't really want to admit to - causing, for instance, some of these unexplained loops!

RN8 Gingko, no root, dirty flashed with geoanto555's TWRP, no extra wiping (I think it's anyways done by the installation script...?).

The boot animation makes a sound which I think is annoying. Can we get rid of that without flashing another one? Yes, deleted in TWRP...

First screenshot doesn't work neither here - "couldn't save, try again" notification.

Occasionally Wifi drops and reconnects. I use the device's MAC and have different SSIDs for 2,4 & 5 GHz - happens even on a good signal strength. But that's not new and also only little annoying...

However, again a great ROM, I really like and appreciate the work of the devs and have to thank again at least a thousand times!!
It has also presented me with those problems .. the one with the capture .. I have to delete the notification that says that the capture failed to try again and that moment if it works .. and regarding the wifi, the same thing happens to me, but in my case I have problems with the wifi since the same thing happens on the laptop, so I have not been able to confirm that it is due to the rom or the wifi .. !!! of the rest everything has worked wonderfully .. !!

Serías tan amable de hacer un tutorial con twrp correcto, magisk si hace falta.... siempre hice todos los xiaomi que tuve, pero este mi 10 lo intenté una vez y tuve que recuperarlo. He leído y reeleído diferentes post y no me queda nada claro. gracias
You have to have a good understanding of Fastboot because of the problems with the Mi 10 (umi) and TWRP. Or else it can be done more simply through USB-OTG, without using Fastboot, or needing decryption.
I have always dealt with Magisk separately, and with Magisk Canary, it is really quite straight forward.

whats not necessary for you, it may be necessary for a system.. its MIUI..

I re-flashed back MI11_21.1.13_v12-11 by running windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat: now WiFi is working again and I kept disabled the apps as before.
I stand that the wifi issue may have been introduced by MI11_21.1.20_v12-11

Only starnge thing is that in updre screen it says 21.1.13 (WEEKLY) instead of (STABLE)

You sure you had widevine l1 with 21.1.14? Apparently it needs patches from global version to make it work, which is not available for mi 9t pro yet.

Yep.

I always check the Widevine version before and after flashing an update and on 21.1.14 I had L1... This update screw everything....

Now can't watch Netflix or Prime Video with max quality... sad... :( dev can't do anything...

Yet if I do UPDATE it finds the 21.1.20 but it says all mirriors are offline...
Anyohow, I will wait for next stable at this point, don't wanna be picky and repeat myself, by rolling back made wifi work again: my computer engineering background tells me the probelm is the 21.1.20, but hey I may be wrong :-D

No problem for me

On Mi11 VOLTE icon is not showing up on status bar and HD badge not showing up in dialer, but the same happens on an official gloabl test build I am testing on another Mi11 sample, so it may be something relted to MIUI and not to xiaomi.eu

If Notification Style is set to ANDROID, when using Google Dialer the notification is white text on white background, so unreadable.

If USE APP ICONS FOR NOTIFICATIONS is off, on lockscreen the app icons are still used (on notification is ok)

Same here on poco f2 pro/redmi k30 pro

It may depend also on carrier... I spoke to the XIAOMI Technical Account I work with and he told me that Vodafone has asked XIAOMI di hide VOLTE icon and HD badge, so I believe that instead of implementing this on the cutomized build for operators they did it directly on the open market build.

I have Vodafone and on a Samsung and a Pixel 4 the HD icon is shown on the google dialer and the samsung dialer, but here on the MIUI I do not see it: as I said, it's not there even on the test global build I am testing, based on MIUI 12 btw
