About floating windows, it's possible to disable them ?

I really hate this floating WhatsApp window...

I didn't find any place at configuration to disable them

In my mi9 is working fine.

Have you tried to delete data for maps ? Or/and the play store.
Time ago this was a way to fix it

Can somebody confirm with a mi 10 (umi) that the new "unstable" twrp is coming with the new rom? Or is it only me? I think I ~only booted into the new twrp, not flash it. Hmm. Is it maybe that I made a nandroid backup and copied the log to internal storage?
The version of TWRP that is with the current ROMs is version 3.4.0 (LittleTurtle2333). It is completely stable for the Mi 10 (umi). However, because it is based on an earlier TWRP, it cannot decrypt your data. This should be allowed to stay permanently in the recovery partition. Do NOT flash any other TWRP into the recovery partition. This version of TWRP can be used for USB-OTG for installations.

There are two later versions of TWRP, 3.4.2b-0623 & 3.4.2b-1026. These must NOT be flashed. They can, however, both be booted into temporarily without causing problems. These can both decrypt your data, and are decrypted by a pattern access, not a password.

You can read more about the Mi 10 (umi) here.

[Edit: Doh - just realised who you are. I didn't look at the name! ;) ]

Hi, since Miui 12 with my Mi 9 I have strange behavior with the wireless charging. Sometimes the phone constantly wakes up every 5 minutes as if he was stopping charging, then immediately charges again. Also happens with my car charger. Don't know if it is hardware or software.

someone please help me, i'm using Mi 10 : I installed it successfully 12.1.6, but then TWRP can't decrypt stogare, so how can I encrypt without having to format data, every update if format data then loses all my data

boot to system then backup data with titanium or something, then clean install and restore your apps+data.
i made this trick it helped me, but titanium is unstable, better to find another backup app. migrate maybe.

Haha, tnx for explanation, once again! Welp, somehow I flashed the new one. But it ~can't perform any action (~only the reboot sectionmight work). Soo, tnx, ~gonna flash the old one as my phone might be a time bomb now.

If I want to go from xiaomi.eu stable to this weekly and want format data in process, what would be the best backup option? I want to backup all the data with photos etc. not only apps. So can I do TWRP backup, store externaly, format data, put new rom and copy TWRP backup back and restore? What will happen if TWRP will be different version from which backup was made with? Thx.

- Use "migrate" (playstore) to backup your apps (root needed)
- Copy the backup and other important files to PC
- Then format data and install the weekly rom
- Root your device
- Restore migrate backup
- Copy files from PC back to device

Restoring data from different setup will result in bootlooop

But Migrate doesnt backup photos, videos etc on internal storage or does it?

I disagree that Titanium is unstable. I have two automatic backups per week. If ever I need to copy an app back, with its data, Titanium is normally successful with this.

If i double tap / click on a notification at my lockscreen (Redmi Note 10 Pro), It doesn't open the notification... anybody an idea how to fix this? Thank you.

Everybody has their own preference how to backup their system / files.

I use three methods:
1) TWRP. I have not come across a backup process as good as this. It backs up the system completely - system apps, installed apps, widgets, etc. and their own data (but not supplementary files) and when you restore, all icons (and widgets) are in exactly the same position, and you are ready to go again. I always use this just before updating the weekly ROM;
2) Titanium. I have two automated backups per week, and have a maximum of 4 backups on the system. I do not often have to use the restore, but it is a good reserve;
3) MyPhoneExplorer. I use this mainly for synchronising contacts, calendar, logs, etc. with Outlook on my PC. Also what is very useful, you can set up your own custom backups for different folders on your phone to back up to your PC. So, I use this to backup my TWRP backup, and Titanium backups, and all important folders on my PC, like music, photos, documents, recordings, etc. I do this manually several times a week.

So I can afford to play around, get into bootloops, etc, because I have the backups that I can restore. I always take extra backups (and then onto my PC) before I do anything risky.

A question, I have used an application to know if the wireless charging works and it tells me that it is not compatible with my xiaomi mi10, does the wireless charging work with this weekly version?

Guys, check the backing up section here:
(In short nandroid for creating restore points in case of bricks, ~better not to backup data/media (eventheapp ~doesn't do it by default), tb/helium for app data, swift/migrate for apks+app data, app backup and restore for apk backup, miui native backup for system stuff like launcher layout wifis etc. and total commander for moving files to pc/extrnal drives.)

Because you might not check it out:

Backing up:
There are some options:

a)Using miui's native backup process to backup app data and apks (my device->backup and restore)

b)Using Titanium Backup (TB) to backup app data (can't restore apk, only data) and another app to backup apks, like backup and restore
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=en
)

c)Using swift backup to backup app data and apks
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.swiftapps.swiftbackup&hl=en)

d)Using migrate app to backup apks and app data
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=balti.migrate&hl=en
)

e)Using twrp to make nandroid bakups (no root)

f)Using helium (no root) to backup app data (can't restore apk, only data) and another app to backup apks, like backup and restore.
