After 2 days of checking the last weekly rom, I place here the results of a test regarding battery consumption.
I state that this is obviously not a test with scientific value since in the end everyone makes a personalized use of their mobile phone. I have used here an "e-book reader" application to check the duration of "Screen On Time" and the total "Active Phone". I think the results would have been very different if I had used a video reading application or a high-performance game. Nonetheless, I believe that the results are indicative of a significant improvement in the energy saving optimization capabilities introduced in this new version.

Hello,

To fix dual apps feature: Go in phone's settings => "Apps" => "Dual apps" => Click the settings icon in the top right corner -> "Delete dual apps' accounts"

Your device will automatically reboot and you can try to create dual apps now.

;)
Thanks dude, Worked!

I'm not updating for a few weeks last update is 21.3.4 I guess,I update this week, when power on it show redmi instead of mi logo, not a big deal but can I change it back to mi?
do I have to wipe data/dalvik or something after flash?
sorry I kinda forgot how to update weekly rom

device is mi9T

I Flashed dirty via OTG on the 20.3.7.
My mi 10 started up just fresh! No apps like a clean Flashed Phone! My files still there without any apps installed! All Gone but the real problem is the dual apps, whenever I turn on any apps, the phone restarts!
Do you regularly 'tidy up' before installing each weekly ROM? e.g. clear phone memory; run cleaner; clear recents; clear Dalvik; clear cache; delete /data/system/package_cache folder?
You may want to try reverting to your backup, and then if you have not already done so, go through the above 'tidy up' process.

Um, hello, can somebody help me delete and reinstall gallery app (it's causing massive battery drain the last ~1-2months)? I could probably reinstall it by reflashing the rom, right? But how could I delete it?

OK, I ~don't want to become annoying, but this "charging ai" is becoming unbearable. It's ~just annoying bloat. I ~know.. Xiaomi just forced it to us, but it made the charging soo slow that a night ~wasn't enough to charge it to even 35%! It's really causing problems and overheats my phone (~8hours with the cpu at about 60C isn't very good). Could you please add a switch or somthing for it, like you did with the fonts?
Also there's the gallery consuming huge amounts of power worsening the situation even more...
PS. Till I post this message my phone lost ~4%..
EDIT: Turns out gallery probably caused the bighest issue. Deeting its data temporarily disabled it and now it charges well and the system has cooled down.
You really are suffering with your Gallery, and now your charging problems. :(
Just after installing the latest ROM, I took a screenshot of the battery just as my phone 'rested'. It behaved exactly as I expected, as you can see.

With the charging, this is also strange behaviour that I have not experienced. I use mainly two rates to charge: the fast wireless, if I need a quick boost; or my 'trickle' Fastboot connection. I can also easily use the phone at the same time as the Fastboot charging. My phone seems to respond as expected.

If I were in your position, as a last resort, I would do as complete a backup as possible with Titanium (and anything else) and do a Factory restore through TWRP. I would then be able to progressively restore apps and data, monitoring as necessary.

Hmm, yeah, that's probably what I'll end up doing which would probably be very time consuming... But I'd like to try ~anyother option before doing this.. Hm, I might do factory reset and see if the app will continue consuming power. If not, I might resotre a nandroid, do a full backup (without internal storage) and factory reset (it ~doesn't delete data, right?).

Thanks for the link. There's an answer to the battery drain problem. Key phrase: It compiles applications into the most efficient code for its processor.
That is, there are NO compiled applications in the firmware, and during the first few days after the firmware (provided that the charge level is 100% and at least 30 minutes of inactivity), applications are compiled in the background, which consumes the phone's charge.

Yes - the TWRP Factory restore should not touch your files, and that would certainly leave your options open. Another slightly more drastic one would be to do a full Stock ROM install, and then go through the process of getting your backup restored. That would give you a clean basis. I've had to do that a couple of times recently testing the TWRP! :(
The apps are all there with the restore - it's putting the files back that takes the time.

Since the last update I have had reboots every now and then when I charge the phone wirelessly.
Does anyone have the same experience?

Regarding the secure apps that have stopped working with Magisk - I tried going back to last week's ROM. Apart from getting an initial Bluetooth FC, the latest banking app did not work, whereas it did work with last week's ROM previously. This makes me think that it is an app issue, rather than ROM.
So, I'm (happily) back with this week's ROM, and will just live with the inconvenience of having longer log ins for the moment.
I shall keep on trying though! :)

It happens again? Wasn't it fixed? At least on stable it is.

Hi!
I've just jumped from MIUI 11 to this! First impression is great.

One thing that caught me off guard though. A new privacy feature warns me about apps permission to the clipboard and it displays the content it copied. It was okay until I saw the password I copied from my password manager visible in clear text.

I'm sure someone raised this up somewhere but I can't find it. The Clipboard permission is certainly not intended to work that way. Is there any way to disable or manage the Clipboard permissions in a secure way?
Thanks!
