I unlocked my bootloader just recently and Booted to TWRP but didn't flash the TWRP just boot "fastboot boot twrp.img" and flashed the latest xiaomi.eu rom . my question is, when the next weekly update comes, can i still update my phone without TWRP?
My Device is Xiaomi MI10T btw.

If you boot again to TWRP and install the archive this way, not from the updater app. Or if the zip itself flashed recovery, but I do not know for which models the recovery is part of the zip.

I don't know if this is an issue with this rom or with my phone or with what but i have been bothered by bluetooth always asking if i want to allow an app to start it. Even though i have selected to give permanent permission to the apps to start bluetooth it just doesn't seem to work like that. Constantly using some apps that use bluetooth is really annoying if i have to give the permission every time i try to use them. So even if this question doesn't belong here i would hope to get an answer.
Well for starters you didn't say which phone you are referring to. All I can say with this information is that the permission to start BT is working on my RN8 as far as I could test quickly. Also I reckon that since no one else mentioned this in a while in the weekly threads it is something on your end but hey who knows.

well if its the same as my mi11 eu rom will install twrp
i also loaded the twrp via fastboot
but wen i boot to recovery twrp is installed

k20 pro but i assume if it isn't a bug but a "feature" it's the same in all the phones with this rom. All i'm really asking if there is some switch i can turn in there or something that would make me not need to tell the phone the same thing over and over again. I want to se the setting as i want it not for only once but as long as i change it again. Obviously it's a bug if there isn't such a switch i haven't just found out.

Since the last update (21.6.23) I am not able to add any Widgets from my Work profile. Does anyone have the same problem?
Phone = Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro

Gents, I just did some quick checks on my ginkgo. The refresh rate as expected (this is not a variable display rate device) for this display is locked on 60Hz no matter the application (tested youtube and Netflix using the show refresh rate option). On youtube as well and I got to see a 1440p60 video with no frames dropped, so I see no issue (used Stats for nerds), it drops frames on 2160p but nowhere on the spec sheet for 665 does Qualcomm claim that it can do 4k 60fps playback. What is the discussion here exactly?
Hello can you do an experiment? Compare what runs smoothly,YouTube 1080P60 compare it to other device runs with 1080P60.
I compared my ginkgo running eu rom to another ginkgo running miui global, 1080P60 YouTube and Twitch and it seems global rom fluidity of video playback seems smoother than the EU rom that's the problem what i'm getting even though the stats for nerds shows i'm outputting 60fps...I mean it seems like it's only running at 30ish fps

That's an interesting concept that even though Bluetooth is not switched on, it can still sense Bluetooth equipment. I tend to keep my Bluetooth on the whole time so that anthing that is already paired can start. This is particularly so for headphones, occasionally for a keyboard, and rarely a mouse (but I may have to encourage this one!), or more difficultly to my laptop. So it sounds that keeping Bluetooth on could be the answer.

Well I did a comparison to an iPhone SE 2020, and I have to say at 1080p60 they seem pretty much the same. After a few reruns of the same video I do agree there is some microstuttering on the RN8 that is not shown as dropped frames but it definitely happens very rarely compared to the entire clip, you could get dropped frames on higher resolutions but those are noted in the stats. So in summary I am not sure whether you are referring to this from time to time stuttering or you have a more overall lag you experience when watching a video. I tried to compare to something I know will work and yes there is some quality reduction but we are speaking about a device 4 times as expensive.
If this is not present on global then that is something Xiaomi did wrongly on betas and it wouldn't be the first thing but it is probably nothing that could be fixed by the team since it is remarkably difficult to see yet alone do something about it assuming there is a difference in the first place. One last thing comparing two devices there are many variables to note if one has more running apps, syncing, finishing updates, etc. You have to factor that in as well, not saying that you didn't just noting it.

Keeping the BT on would be a workaround actually. But what I am saying is that my RN8 remembers the permission to allow app to control the BT which @truelutti 's phone doesn't do for some reason. It could still be device specific or something on his end. And as you are saying even if BT is off if your location is set to use Wifi and BT it will still scan.

Hi, anybody have fixed screen dimming in Poco F3? Sometimes in high sunlight is hard to se anything on the screen, the phone is useless.

I'm sure bluetooth is on at some level even if it says off at the statusbar-thing because it would be quite weird concept as you said for it to operate without being on. I haven't told my phone to turn off bluetooth at any point but it just does it by it self some time after i have used it last. If i listen to music or something it doesn't cut off at any point but after i have stopped using bluetooth i see it off next time i look at my phone few minutes later. So where is the "never go to sleep bluetooth!" switch? I thought the turning off bluetooth thing might be happening for the regular "sleep" built into the os but i don't know how to get to it's controls either. All i can fiddle with is the mi power saving options which i have turned off for everything that might have an affect on the matter. I have smartwatch and it too disconnects from the phone because the bluetooth keeps turning off so it hinders it's functions as well. please obi wan kenobi you're my only hope!

Keeping BT on would be an answer but it just keeps turning it off no matter what i do. Not sure why the permissions aren't "saved" but when i look at the permissions an app in question would have they have the permission to control bluetooth so not sure what i could do.

I've just done a search in Settings for 'Blue' ... and ...
There is a setting under 'Privacy/Manage/Location/Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning/Bluetooth scanning'
... and ...
'Allow apps and services to scan for nearby devices at any time, even when Bluetooth is off. This can be used, for example, to improve location-based features and services.'
and it's an ON/OFF toggle switch. (Similar for Wi-Fi)
Could this be what you are looking for (on my Mi 10 umi)? :D
It's no good for my headphones though.

As it says i think it's got to do with location services and not with anything else. I have that turned on. I think that's the default setting since it was on the first time i checked it. But how would you set the bluetooth to allways be on? I have no power saving options on but the bluetooth is going to sleep after i have stopped using it. I don't know where i would find a switch to "never turn off bluetooth" ...so where is it?

Well - we are going a bit off topic here ......
How about this setting:
Settings/Battery/Battery optimization settings (settings in top-right corner)/Scenarios/(Smart scenes)/Sleep mode
'Whenever Miui detects that you're sleeping, it will close background apps, restrict NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, mobile data and Wi-Fi usage, and won't light up screen for notifications.'
Mine is switched on, but I don't have Bluetooth turning off (I don't think). But maybe with it switched on, Bluetooth etc will automatically come back on again.

I have that turned off because i specifically don't want my phone to guess when i want to receive messages etc. I want it to deliver them to me as they arrive. And also this option turned on will give my phone a chance to interpret if and when it thinks it can turn off my bluetooth etc. I don't want that to ever happen.

Gents (and gals) have anyone managed to get an external keyboard writing in anything other than English (in my case). This is mentioned here, but I also experienced it on my RN8, basically you press the shortcut to change language but but it keeps writing in English. If you still have the on screen keyboard it shows the new language (Bulgarian in my case) but it keeps on writing in English.
I opened the physical keyboard layout setting and it shown as Default only, when I try to add more from the list they are not saved and it keeps showing default. After a lot of angry clicking it showed Bulgarian on the setting but unsurprisingly kept on writing in English :D
Can anyone check or give any idea. I really want to use my keyboard and mouse from my laptop on my phone while screen mirroring - it works very well but I cannot change the language...

Edit: Also mentioned here. @Igor Eisberg is it possible if you have some time to have a look if you can do something about it.
I already reported it to Xiaomi proper but so did another user or two and it is been this way since March - I reckon when they changed the keyboard settings layout but hey it might be even before that. If anyone has any suggestions for a fix please share. @mahdi.a suggested using another virtual keyboard, but this would be a last resort since I don't really want to change the onscreen keyboard...

That is quite peculiar to have you BT switch off by itself - if it is not the scenes setting then I am not sure what might be causing it. BT should stay On unless you stop it. Are you using Battery saver or anything? Since it is very hard to pinpoint maybe a backup factory reset/ROM clean install test and then restore might be the way to go?
