Mi 11 Lite 5G here. Upgraded OK :) from 21.8.18 to 21.9.8 via Settings' built-in updater.

Fyi I don't have root or magisk.

Happy to say Safetynet is still fine - working Google Pay + McD :rolleyes:

Do your device has Widevine L1? (Use DRM Info app to check this info) :)
 
The proximity sensor is activated only when playing a WhatsApp audio or a call, I tested the sensor and it always works, it is a failure with this latest update.
Also, constantly try to activate the GPS positioning service via SMS.
 
Hey guys, on Redmi Note 8, I'm having the constant message of not blocking the proximity sensor, which was not around on the previous update. Tried calibrating the sensor via *#*#6484#*#* to no avail. I'm starting to think this is a ROM bug.
 
I have a questionto the specialists here regarding SafetyNet, I guess I didn't understand it correctly: With my Mi 9T I am still on 21.8.25 and my SafetyNet is ok.
If I flash the new weekly here, will it break SafetyNet?

No issue with SafetyNet if you update. ;)

This SafetyNet issue is only affecting some devices, not all. :)

Known, this is a China ROM issue that started a few Closed Beta releases back. Nothing to be done about it, this is a low-level issue.

I had also just edited my above post, and commented that @Poney70's module allowed the Safetynet test to pass. So I should be able to use Google Pay fully now. :)
... Just checked Google pay, and it has now accepted my contactless debit card, and just been confirmed by my bank. :D

Just so you know... Some bank apps can detected repackaged magisk app. Some bank apps won't let you use them when USB Debugging is turned on. Some both.
A trick I am using now is to use Tasker (automation App) to disable USB Debugging AND freeze Magisk App when I launch the bank app.

And enable USB Debugging and unfreeze Magisk App when I close the bank app. Something like this in the screenshot.

Or, since you have root, you can freeze/unfreeze them with other app manager manually because Tasker is a paid app.

No, just want to know if the SafetyNet issue could be related to Widevine L1 or not. ;)

If I press the power button for a long time, my phone restarts. If I press it for a medium time, my menu comes up. If I press it for a short time, it turns my phone on/off.
So how long is your 'long time'?
 
Hey everyone. I have an issue which is ongoing and i need your help to sort it out.
On every release after 21.7.28 i have issues with mobile data in the sense that 95% of the websites I'm trying to reach on Mi 10 Ultra (cas) result in ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE

Flashing back 21.7.28 mobile data works fine but i have other issues due to downgrading.

Do you have any idea which partition is responsible for mobile data so that i can try to restore?

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have Tasker, but have never got round to learning / using it. I do use Zooper, which I know integrates with it.

I have now got into the habit of uninstalling Magisk each time I reboot, which is relatively simple, and doesn't happen very often. Very occasionally I forget to uninstall it and I have to re-register my banking app.

He actually meant that the mute button from the power menu (long press power button to come up) doesn't seem to be working. :emoji_sweat_smile:

I see what you mean now - the 'Silent' button. (Just disabled the power menu).
I have a mute button in my Control Centre, if I need it. But if I need to control my volumes, I have a widget configured to different volume levels (6 types of volume). I have 6 different settings that are easy to switch to. It's Volume Ace. I can also schedule different volumes (or silence), eg. when I go to Buckingham Palace! :emoji_laughing:

Someone, about a year ago, linked to a site that demonstrated many of the different possible ways that Magisk could be detected - from the simple app name, to snippets of code in memory. and others.
