CHANGELOG

System

Optimization - Updated Android Security Patch to August 2023 (some devices)
Fix - WPS Doc Viewer was missing

Security
New - Added "Shutdown confirmation" to the toolbox

It's the last Weekly update for Xiaomi MIX 4 and Xiaomi 12X. If you want to receive new updates, move to Stable releases.
Such process will require wipe data.

From 22 September 2023, due to the end of China Beta support, these devices will no longer get Weekly ROM updates:
Xiaomi Mi 11, Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Redmi K40S/POCO F4.

sorry for the ignorance but what is the difference between normal and Thor? which update should I use?i m on 23.7.17

The difference is that Thor is intended for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra (thor) device.
Use the ROM that is intended for your device. 23.7.31

Changing to stable version needs wiping data, that's ashame. Is there a workaround? Probably backup of data partition with TWRP and after changing to stable restore data partition? Any other idea?

Guys, where can I find this option?

Security
New - Added "Shutdown confirmation" to the toolbox

Would it be the option to put default password when trying to turn off or restart the device?

Thanks

Thanks dude.

I found the option, but it is not working on MI 12 PRO
It does work but you need to enable "access power menu" under Always on Display & Lockscreen. Apart from that I dont get the point of this option exactly because if you switch off the device while being locked , you can switch it off without any password request ALTHOUGH the new option is enabled.

Xiaomi 12.
This function does not work even if a pattern is set.
Things to remember:
1) Shutdown confirmation is only required when the device is locked (which means only on secure lockscreen).
2) Shutdown confirmation cannot intercept a hard-reboot (long-pressing the power button).
3) Shutdown confirmation is not compatible with "Legacy power menu".
4) If Shutdown confirmation is enabled, "Extended power menu" won't take effect until the device is unlocked.

1) This is clear to me (I have this function in my Pixel device where it has been for a long time)
3) I don't use
4) I don't use the "Extended power menu"
- Simply, if I wanted to turn off the device from the lock screen, it didn't ask me for the Password/Pattern. After three restarts, the pattern is already required.
