Update on redmi2 TD, no problems so far. Just minor issues (one day in the weather app disappeared). I would like to thank you all, guys. I'v been in the xiaomi world just for 2 months but I really appreciate your efforts in order to help all the newbies like me. Ciao

REMINDER :
Attention keep a good rom in the root : update.zip
and update your phone using the update app and choose the new rom
BECAUSE , if like me you overwrite the old rom update (which was working) file in the root by the new rom
in case if the ROM is wrong ,
we will get this current status , ROM has been flashed but no boot !!!!

this situation is quite RARE, because when the ROM is dammaged NO FLASH POSSIBLE so all is OK, but when ROM is flashable but faulty we get this Mi.COM logo stucking status

3 cases:

1st case ; if you have TWRP on your phone
or donwload it

very simple reboot on TWRP to copy the rom with the WIFI bug the previous one
depending of the TWRP version you should be able to have an acces from PC or using the OTG solution with USB KEY
you need to delete the wrong rom and to copy a good one to have your system back
using the rom of last week will be OK to get the Miui system back BUT we will have the android.process error

2nd case ; as me, no TWRP just MiRecovery
i need to check if we can push the ROM over ADB, without erasing all my DATA
i don't want to use MiFlash it will erase all the data of the phone
>> Updated: best solution is using TWRP see case 1 or MiFlash with a new setting

3rd case
using miflash soft
use a fastboot rom before 6.1.14 because this rom LOCK the bootloader from now on
example 6.1.7 or older

in my flash ; do it as usual BUT select
/flash_all_except_data_storage => this will keep your DATA and settings
and boot to this system and flash immediately the 6.1.7
and wait new rom

from which application ??
LEO TWRP 2.8.6.0 is not working with MTP function (OTG or PC)
Mi Recovery does not have USB OTG function

so from where did you use OTG with USB with MI.COM logo stucking status ??

Twrp does support usb otg i have mi note pro and flashed new update and it was stuck on mi.com logo, so i rebooted to twrp and connect the usb otg with usb stick with previous update, flashed the phone and it worked again

On the Mi4c he new Root method says you need to be connected to the internet whilst you do it. Do you know why? Does it link it to your Mi account or relate to your Mi account at all?

I cant use the Mi account on my phone so if that is the case I'm screwed!

which twrp version you have ?

I use the sideload function to flash the previous ROM 6.1.7 , but we have the error android.process.acore, any solution? or only wait for the new update 6.1.14?

Can you give me the version of your TWRP because the current version is 2.8.60

and it does NOT support OTG
can you give us a link of your version too to share it
and what is the version number ?

there is China Version with Material Design but OTG does NOT work too

You are using the TWRP recovery of REDMI Note 2 for MiNote Pro
it is new information, and it works i believe you
but it is strange , normaly you should use the TRWP recovey dedicated to your phone
 
No just use twrp 2.8.6.0 for mi note pro and it works, maybe your usb otg cable isnt good? When connected you can browse in twrp to usb otg...
