Hello, that phone uses

It depends. Usually reflashing the rom will format and write system again. You don't need to wipe system often. It should be done especially when you wanna try a different ROM.
Then I don't know what the hell is happening here, because I'm still having those reboots... could be hardware too?

in the first time i installed it, i didn't do wipe cache... but in the second and third i did wipe cache+davlik
can i flash this version in fastboot?

Anyone encountered Snapchat recording video issues on Redmi Note 2 (hermes) and stable firmware 7.1.x or 7.2.x?

If you do install a stable ROM, would you be so kind and please provide some feedback? I've read opposing opinions regarding stability of latest stable (7.2.3) and I have no idea who shall be trusted.

Sure I will.
At the moment I'm keeping up with 6.3.17, no time to factory reset + install all apps again.
This weekend I will try flashing the updated dev rom and, if no benefits will come from it, I will nuke the rom and flash the 7.2.3 stable (and eventually I'll downgrade to 6.3.3 dev if stable one doesn't suit me).

Just to say: I wanted to check on WakelockDetector what was causing such a battery drain but I wasn't able to flash SU on this 6.3.17 rom, I always end up in an endless Mi logo stuck on the screen for a hour. Did it dozens of times in the past, this time I tried flashing SU three times via TWRP (always after installing the rom and rebooted the phone twice) and once via updater app with no success at all. I thought something may be wrong with the recovery provided with this rom, but it appears I'm the only one experiencing this problem so the problem should be on my very phone only. Man, I need a factory reset...

I can not answer! It should serve a rom with .tgz extension if I'm not mistaken

Hi, I have a mi4c with the xiaomi.EU ROM flashed. I got several OTA updates, but now my phone is on 6.1.28 and the update tool doesn't find any newer version, is that normal ? Thx

In 6.3.17 error 953 in 6.3.19 Crash

So. Re-flash (I did this using Native android), you can use also any stable official (mean original) release, that can be flashed from fastboot, then install TWRP (sure unlock bootloader), then flash ROM from here (6.3.17) from TWRP, then (directly after flash) wipe dalvik+cache+data. No need to wipe before. Do not wipe system! Profit - Market will works.

Hello, normal. OTA updates are released about one month

Some facts about OTA delay:
- OTA packages are always same as posted here, so FULL ROM (400-800MB)
- Installation via OTA is same as you do, so Updater - Menu - Select installation zip
- OTA is uploading into Xiaomi china servers which are very slow for download and upload (usually 30-40kb/s for uploading over 8GB) so I have to upload them always at night one by one and I dont have time for doing that every week... Unfortunately OTA account is binded to my Xiaomi account so nobody else can do that instead of me...
- So we decided to upload OTA only once per month and not weekly... Users who are lazy to go here and download zip manually, can wait over month to get new version via OTA, they just dont care about new updates...
