Update from previous week to this one with dalvik cache wipe: on reboot, no network available at all.
After switching prefered network to 2G then 3G then 4G, all is perfect.

Same with Mi4w and Redmi 3, might be Updater app change in all Xiaomi devices. I think it did it on late MIUI 7's too.Same behaviour on Mi5. Downloaded ROM always deleted after ROM update. It is MIUI8 specific bug or feature

From previous release i have to say that dissapeared annoiyng battery drain from an app named "SHELL"
that sucked 54% juice ....Some idea about this process ?

I don't have any of these issues, flashed 6.6.30 from 6.6.16 (avoided 6.6.23 for battery issues)
I have Mi5 Prime 64Gb

No drain for me on 6.6.23.
I avoid 6.6.30 because already had in the past similar issues about sensor with miv7 rom and for me 6.6.23 is perfect. I don't want to risk to have again similar issues.
If more than one user have this issue I believe them.

You have those issues as well just you haven't noticed yet...reboot the phone and check compass, auto rotation...etc orientation sensor related functions

Also wifi 5g isn't working very good and Facebook video upload problems.
At this turn it seems this rom version is not good enough for mi5 users. Let's wait for next release.

RN3 Pro. After one day. Battery excellent, charging fast, gps no problem. Excellent Rom.

I haven't noticed that. I kept the last MIUI 7 ROM files (6.5.19 and 6.5.26) in the main directory of my phone and deleted 6.5.19 before putting 6.6.17 there.

Guys I need some help. I'm on miui 7 v6.5.5 on my 2 mi2s phones and I want to install the latest rom available. I noticed that in twrp i can't see the phone storage where the zips are, just the smaller root/system storage. Why is that? How can I fix this so I can flash the zip?
Try unmount system in twrp before flashing. Hope it helps.Hey,
