Hello Villo, for me better is 6.7.21 then 6.9.1/2I'm still on 25.8, last week. And yes sot was awesome but standby was awful...
I think I will update next friday since I reverted back.
Stefano maybe since you didn't mess up, which u think is the best one between the last one and this rom about battery??
It acted the same but I tested for just few days. On the latter by august rom standby seems pretty ******..

My Mi5 destroyed also 2 SIM cards from T-Mobile Germany. Each one lived 6-8 weeks. The OnePlus One phone was the first one with this issue being known, but for example the LG G2 (I think) also was affected.
It is an incompatibility with the SIM card and the phone or more likely a bug of the phone. I think, OnePlus has fixed the bug now.
As far as I know: The SIM card checks if the phone wants some provider information. The phone says yes. The SIM card transfers the information and the phone refuses. The SIM card logs the error on a memory chip with limited number of write cycles. This goes on all the time. After 6-8 weeks, the memory chip of the SIM card dies and the SIM card is dead.
T-Mobile Germany seems to have SIM cards which are unaffected. Those are the ones with NFC/wallet capability (the feature does have nothing to do with the bug, it's a coincidence).

Check your PM.Hi graw, thanks a lot for your detailed response!!
The link to TWRP you posted was a life-saver ... the touchscreen in TWRP finally worked, and so, after wiping and rebooting, my Mi5 finally started MIUI8.6- awesome after a series of sleepless nights! I'm an amateur, but got kinda used to flashing phones (Nexus, HTC, OnePlus,..) but never had such difficulties as I have with the Xiaomi Mi5 with all the different versions of soft- and even hardware as it seems.
I'm risking going little bit off-topic here, but actually, my initial intention was to install CM13 after TWRP. May I ask for another tip in here, because when I try to flash CM13 from TWRP, I get "Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset.
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/cm-13.0-20160521.zip"
(I was too scared to wipe data too ... wouldn't that also wipe the cm-13.0.zip I've pushed onto the device, preventing me from flashing it afterwards?)
Can you or anyone else give me a hint what to do in order to finally be able to use CM13 on my Mi5?
Headphones sound is as good as before to me. When you downgrade is better to wipe data, but hey, you can try (do a backup first).Hi. Just installed this update (6.9.1) on my Mi5 and discovered that headphones sound is very low. Has anybody met this problem?
Everything was ok in 6.8.18. Can I downgrade by just flashing 6.8.18 and wiping cache/dalvik?
Bug in gallery... i try send image via WhatsApp and close...
Turn off notifications for video app.ty for the ROM. 1 issue for me: video app comes with something strange in chinese letters on my lockscreen, has not been doing this in prev. versions

Official ROM block bootloaderHi, I have a Redmi 3 Pro unlocked, rooted, with twrp and latest stable xiaomi.eu rom installed.
What happens if I install the official stable rom from en.miui.com via Updater app? The bootloader gets locked? Should I expect any troubles?
Thank you!
It is not true.Official ROM block bootloader
