Could anyone plz tests wlan-speed with Bluetooth on & connected?

In my case, WLAN download and upload speed decrease massive with connected Bluetooth device (miband 2).
Without connected Bluetooth device or disabled Bluetooth, WLAN speed is good.

Device Redmi note 4X

Bluetooth and WiFi both work in the 2.4GHz ISM band (unlicensed spectrum), and there is the need for co-existence, so the WiFi is briefly suspended to allow Bluetooth packets to be sent/received.

This is a standard method of managing these two services, and it is the down-side of spectrum-sharing.

If the device (Redmi Note4X) has the capability of dual-band WiFi, and you have a 5GHz WiFi router, I would suggest using 5GHz WiFi to eliminate the throughput reduction when using Bluetooth.

There is a problem with Messenger Lite and hyperlinks. It works fine on MIUI Global, but on xiaomi.eu tapping on links in conversations does nothing. Checked several versions, also formatted data and started everything from scratch (no syncing with Xiaomi cloud, etc.). Any ideas?

edit - also, restoring apps from local backup doesn't work with most of them ("Can't use this backup", apps like Word, Spotify, Instagram). Don't know if it's a xiaomi.eu problem or whole MIUI.

2.4 GHz Wifi - BT On - D: 63 U: 71 Mbps
2.4 GHz Wifi - BT Off - D: 66 U: 78 Mbps

5.0 GHz Wifi - BT On - D: 376 U: 390 Mbps
5.0 GHz Wifi - BT Off - D: 366 U: 376 Mbps

So, values are almost the same with BT ON or OFF (at least, on my Mi 6 and Huawei W1 watch )

It is interesting to note that the 5GHz WiFi throughput has increased when BT is on, not sure why that has occurred.

The 2.4GHz result is in line with expectations (assuming you had only a connection established, not with streaming, etc), it is dependent on the data volume being transferred - if you have a streaming HD video on BT, the WiFi drop would be much bigger.

I think it's depends if you connect the BT first or wifi first

Maybe, not certain on Qualcomm's implementation of the 2.4GHz spectrum-sharing.
Normally the Bluetooth is the "lower priority", and is blanked, until it has packets to send.
Whichever has priority, one will be blanked whilst the other is active.

Working as a charm on redmi pro so far. Will let u know if I encounter bugs later on.

Good job, team!

I say that because I was the same issue with an other android device when I use Bluetooth headset with wifi (wifi and BT lag)

Other problem on my Mi Mix 2. The sound is poor, and when i record video the sound is sooo low. I have tested to install viper to get the sound higher, that works well but not when i record video and stuff. So bad. Any fixes? Running latest weekly rom

Why MIUI 9.1 Stable is not for Xiaomi MI6?
Is this a bad thing? :)

PS: I don't think xiaomi.eu guys gets paid for providing builds (but I might be wrong). Either way, you could ask more nicely

does anyone already have the links for the new weekly updates?

Nothing interesting on new build..
