NO..! Updating bootloader is mandatory when updating from Android 5.1 to android 7.0...

Is it sure that the bootloader will be blocked after the update? Because my bootloader is always ok, after every rom installed no problem (I have never unlock it)

Once you have got permission for unlock BL to your Mi Account then no need to request it anymore. You have got it permanently. Just download MiUnlock tool and open BL anytime for your device.

Your BOOTLOADER will be relocked after upgrade from Android 5.1 to Android 7.0 MI4C, Mi4S, MINote PRO so unlock it by en.miui.com/unlock after ROM installation again!!!


How to upgrade from Android 5.1 to Android 7.0 MI4C, Mi4S, MINote PRO:
Install MIUI 6.12.22 before updating to Android 7.0..
Select zip in Updater - menu - select zip
Unlock your bootloader again on Mi4C, Mi4S, MiNotePRO
(check your bootloader status by command "fastboot oem device-info")
Install TWRP for 7.0 via fastboot "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" "fastboot boot twrp.img"
In case of issues, wipe /data in TWRP
For ROOT use latest SuperSU

Ask; im using now mi4c runung 7.2.9 and installed twrp if i flash new update 7.2.16 my

First of all, even if you did get the confirmation of approval you still have to wait some time until it will work. I had to wait around a week after the confirmation SMS arrived for it to finally work

Ok thanks, back to old reflashing with ancient miui 7 and unlock bootloader that way
