WTF, man? It's a normal and useful stock feature of firmware, stop cutting it from system. I say about smart assistant. And yes, your new 8.2.1.0 for Mi4s relock bootloader.
So you had officially unlocked bootloader on Mi4S before? Or just cracked? Somehow we doesn't care about cracks..

Oh, c'mon
  • No possibility to re-lock bootloader accidentally with flash any xiaomi.eu release
Fix it.
And there are some useful staff in xiaomi's smart assistant.

From stable 8.1.6 to 8.2.1 on mi5 should we follow the instructions mentioned in first post? eg. installing TWRP 3.0.2.3 then 6.11.10 never wipe system/data?

Mi5s Plus 6/128 (natrium): i thought this update was really useful, until i noticed that vocal registrator and third apps registrator (like whatsapp, telegram) doesn't work properly, the voice is distorted and really weird.
I tried to downgrade to the previous version (7.2.16) and there's not that problem anymore.

PS: in calls everything is working fine and the voice is normal!

Still no Stable Version 8.2 for Redmi 1s And still no public statement as to why? In spite of assurances that we would still get Stables when Devs were dropped for Android 4.4 devices the Redmi 1s owners have been lied to and forgotten. Remember that most long-term members of these forums started out with the Redmi 1s and now it seems we have forgotten where we came from.

Hi gentlemen,
I've just noticed that I'm not able to send DTMF (to choose options in an automated answering system) when my MI5s in in loudspeaker mode with build 7.2.24.
Anyone else noticed?
Any suggestion how I can collect useful logs?

Kind regards, Jørn

@ingbrzy, titanium backup app doesn't open. Fix this, please. My device: mi4c 2/16, rom v7.2.23
Best Regards,
Vlad
Solved with factory reset. I recomand to all users wich upgrade from lollipop or marshmallow to make a factory reset after installing new version of android. I think remaining some trash and stuff wich cause some unwished bugs.

Redmi Note 4, Nikel, Massive battery drain under 7.2.24, even after battery calibration and a few charging cycles, not more than 4 h of SOT, without any other heavy use

Thank you always.
On MI5S, DTMF is not working for outgoing call when volte is activated
it is occured since 7.2.9 when volte is activated on my phone as first time and it seems that specific network has this issue

Depends on MIUI Global Dev, which is suspended this week

He/she said stable version, it depends on global stable not glibal dev.
There is a global stable 8.1.3 since about a month but xiaomi.eu stable is at 8.1.1 yet, while at the same time global stable 8.2 is being delayed for 2 weeks by now.

I have updated to miui 8.2, the root file is the same I used to miui 8.1?I have a mi4S

Thanks

Can i install latest stable for mi5 with formatting system (i coming from lineage) or need to install stable marshmallow first then update?

How to upgrade from Android 5.1 to Android 7.0 MI4C, Mi4S, MINote PRO:
Install MIUI 6.12.22 before updating to Android 7.0..
Select zip in Updater - menu - select zip
Unlock your bootloader again on Mi4C, Mi4S, MiNotePRO
(check your bootloader status by command "fastboot oem device-info")
Install TWRP for 7.0 via fastboot "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" "fastboot boot twrp.img"
In case of issues, wipe /data in TWRP
For ROOT use latest SuperSU

7.2.24 RELEASED!
(Fixed misterious "Performance FC")

Hi, sorry. With that TWRP_Aqua_7.0 for Android 7 I had a lot of problems. It never installed. Then I settled with the TWRP indicated in this guide:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/updating-mi4s-to-nougat.38259/#post-355082
(I think is the TWRP_LIBRA_7.0)
Then you can adjust to help others?

You can find link in the first page. For mipad2 you need SuperSU 2.46, you have to root Everytime you update your ROM, has I do every week.
