Oh that could be, yea, I do have an unlocked bootloader.
But how am I supposed to put a custom ROM on if I don't have the bootloader unlocked in the first place?
Or am I thinking about something else here...?

Hi all, so I have redmi note 4 mtk and this rom is really great for battery life and most other things. The only thing I know is not working is the light sensor. Is there anyone for whom it's working?
OK so I've done the test for light sensor and this time it's working

You'll need to ask xiaomi. Not looking very likely, qualcom are good at releasing sources, meditatek aren't hence why support isn't as good.

Could someone help me please. I tried to install the global 8.2.5 from xiaomi.eu on my redmi 3s via twrp. Despite the full wipe (without otg) the system didn't boot (I thing I didn't disable dm verify in the right moment). I was able to boot into recovery. Now I have this problem - in recovery, I can't reboot recovery, it reboots to the system. I flashed the recovery again but the result is the same. Anyone?
BTW this version is working fine on redmi 3s. I cannot say too much about the battery life because I didn't charge the phone to 100%.

Global 8.2.5? From xiaomi.eu? Afaik are there no globals for 3s on xiaomi.eu and the highest stable is 8.2.3...

Hello. Can someone help me. Im with the last week's update. How can I update this one to the latest? Do i need to have a clean installation or will i just flash this zip, clean caches and ready to go? I have some games that have data and im afraid it will be erased if i will have cleaned flashed.

Use updater app choose update package from menu and it will update it for you automatically, or just go to twrp and manually install .zip file and after that wipe dalvik/cache and reboot system and you are done.
