Hi, I just bought a Redmi Note 4x HELIO x20 64GB, and I can't flash TWRP to the device. Which one should I use? I see most of 4x are Snapdragon and you don't specify what are the TWRP / ROMS for.... and I think they don't work if the choice is wrong. I've some tutorials mix Note 4 and Note 4x, so maybe I could use one for Note 4...(?) My Device model appears as Note 4 in the phone menus.

I have another issue: my pc (working on Windows 8.1) doesn't recognize the USB mass storage, so I probably won't be able to store the downloaded ROM to the device.

There is no Redmi Note 4X With Mediatek Helio....you have the first Redmi 4 Note version, so you need to download the HMNote4 ROM

Bluetooth issue. When playing music on any audio device, if connection gets turned off by the device, the phone continues playing music, it doesn't pause the music when disconnected from audio device.

Men, I've done a first clean installation with fastboot ROM. Fastboot Global Dev then twrp then xiaomi.eu weekly.
My compass do not work anymore.
I've tapped on kernel build 5 times to get access on the service menu and no mention about magnetic field sensor on mi5
How it is possible? It's hardware problem? I've search a lot on Google but seems nobody has got this kind of problem.
Any suggestion?

I used to have a Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro, which is broken. When I installed the weekly ROM via TWRP at the end I always was asked to install superuser.
Now I have a Xiaomi 4X. After booting into TWRP I was shocked the language was Chinese. But I found the button to change it.

I could install the weekly ROM. But unfortunately I wasn't asked for superuser.

Is this just me or does the TWRP version for the 4X not have this question?
What am I doing wrong?

Only install and wipe cache&dvalik is enough and should work fine

You can flash SuperSU 2.82 with TWRP now. It is written in 1st post here too.
You can also look for latest twrp in combi with root for Redmi 4x here:

You can also stay without root if you do not need it.
You can now handle it the way you like.
If the ROM run, it runs. Any on Redmi 4x the 7.7.7 runs great !
Only little issue at the moment is still auto-brightness which is too slow and in general about 30% too dark. But all the rest seems super.

I just tried to flash again:

0) in Fastboot mode
1) fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-1-sagit.img

2) boot into the TWRP 3.1.1-1
2a) in TWRP, Wipe-> Advanced Wipe->Select EVERYTHING, then Wipe
2b) in TWRP, Wipe-> Format Data->type "yes" to confirm
2c) in TWRP, reboot to Recovery again
2d) boot to TWRP, connect to PC, copy the file xiaomi.eu_multi_MI6_7.7.7_v8-7.1.zip from the PC to the folder /SDCard in the Phone

3) in TWRP, flash xiaomi.eu_multi_MI6_7.7.7_v8-7.1.zip which is stored in /SDCARD without selecting zip signature verfication / reboot after installation
3a) after installation is done, Wipe cache/dalvik

4) Reboot System.

5) Hey it works this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But one funny thing, if I boot again to Recovery Mode, it is the TWRP 3.1.1.0 instead of TWRP 3.1.1-1

I installed TWRP 3.1.1.0 before, but where's the TWRP 3.1.1-1 that I've just installed??

I have the same problem with my mi5s. I have installed a twrp but when I go to recovery another twrp is there... And I can only flash EU ROM without the "zip file corrupt" error if I install again the first twrp version I've ever installed on this phone... Can someone please tell me how can I uninstall twrp, because now I have 2 versions installed and I think that the error installing ROM is because that

Cast photos from gallery to TV doesn't work anymore with 7.7.7 on Redmi 4x (Santoni). There is no icon at the top right corner. It works perfectly on stable rom.
