i am also in same build on my mi 8.
When i activatr airplane mode, close file explorer from recent and restart.... i dont get internet questions

Use Solid Explorer, one of the best file managers in Play store. The interface is awesome and you can update and replace files in /system, /vendor without any problems with Solid Explorer.

After read some reports with this touchscreen issue I dont feel confident to update my mi8 with this build. I think im going to skip this one and wait for next week build...

APN settings are part of the rom ?
on last two version i have problem with mobile data
i crate new APN and configure like my mobie oparate want and now is all ok
so maybe last two version of rom change something in APN setting ?

Yes, the File Manager is V1-181115 is the global one from Play Store, you can uninstall it if you want. The other one (1.9.8) is from China ROM, it's a system app and it offers more features, like opening an FTP server without having to download Mi Drop.

why fileexplorer wants connect to internet?

Confirming. I ask to connect and i allowed. Probably because of FTP feature.
After that it works OK.

Just installed the 8.12.20 ROM on my Redmi Note4x.
Strange thing.
I have chosen for Dutch but the menu is in English.
@ingbrzy: Any ideas? Restarting did not help

Went back to 8.12.13 with the menues in Dutch. Works better for me...

Great update on both Mi 8 and Mi Max 3, but I want the 4x3 grid for quick settings back. Both devices have a 5x1 (5 tiles in 1 row) quick settings row after pulling down the status bar which normally expanded to a 4x3 grid (4 tiles per row with 3 rows), but in the 8.12.20 update it stays at 5x3 after expanding which is too narrow for my taste.

I cannot find a setting for it. Is this a new feature that just hasn't got settings yet or is this a bug?

Had this problem on the first batch of Mido rom yesterday morning. The rom has been reuploaded this afternoon. It runs fine now.
