It looks wierd when you change dpi. I dont like 392 as everything looks big, i use 450(which is 449) and screen is sharp, everything is not so small but normal for a screen that is big(mix 2) and the battery icon is also like the one in his screenshot. I use percentage in icon for now.

Thanks for this awesome tip.
Shame on me, I've never tried to change the dpi before.

Anyway, I can confirm the charging icon of my Whyred is the same than yours with 449 as dpi.

Using on rooted Mi Mix 3 and all is working great so far. One thing Night Mode automatic don't seem to work but that's all I'm noticing atm.

Hello together, I need your help ....

after installing the new version on my Mi9, my twrp is gone .... that happend never before.

When I start the recovery mode, the phone is in a small bootloop and then the normal system starts.

So I flashed again the twrp, I have tried 3 different files:
  • twrp-3.2.3-10-cepheus-mauronofrio(1).img
  • TWRP-3.2.3-MI9-wzsx150-fastboot.zip
  • twrp_cepheus.img
The result is the same.... no chance to start in recovery with twrp. The phone starts in a bootloop and then the normal system starts.

Anybody there who can help me ?

Just an info to those whose devices have roms updated from 8.x to 9.x for the first time, take note:

The script to enable camera2 API is different between 9.x and priors in just one word. I found this out during updating from 8.1 to 9.0 for my whyred. All *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* ports crashed, until the fix is applied.

In the case of the 9.x roms, the camera2 API script is already found in the /system/build.prop file. Just edit it to "persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled=1". Reboot your device.
Boom, all *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* ports working again.

Mi Mix2s:
TWRP 3.3.0-0
Magisk 19.1
After installing Magisk 19.1 the system always reboots into recovery.

Any help welcomed.
Same situation, check your modules one by one, after i uninstalled Dolby digital plus module, everything works fine.BTW, knowed another bug on MI 6: patched to Android:Disable signature verification in the package manager by Lucky patcher, fingerprint can't work, after select "Remove all patches from core.jar"in Lucky patcher, fingerprint back to work again.

On my redmi 4x , changing display size setting causes system UI crash and phone hangs in screen off and ROM has to be reinstalled....also tried with build prop editor...same results. Please rectify developers.. Thanks for effort and awesome work.

Hi, to all comuniti xiaomi! I flash the MI9 , so far so god ! No bug with my usage!Tanks to devs team! God job!

I think this version changed the volte icon that is not friendly to mi 8 s nortch... the right nortch has no other icons and I think it is better to put the gps or bluetooth icon on the right. mi8's nortch is really inconvenient.....
and thanks to xiaomi EU

Hello,
Since I made the oreo update on my Mi 6 I have a problem with the camera.
When I open the camera, the system starts with the selfie camera but all the settings form the main cam. When I swap to the rear I just have the settings for the self camera, this means no flash is possible and no bokeeh function... .
It doesn't make a difference if I install dirty or if I install 9.5.9 clean. I still have the same problem.
I also tried camera apps downloaded from the play store ending in the same problem

Thanks in advance for your help.

Someone mentioned that Google assistant is not starting with home button on Mi6.
I confirm, it won't start on my Mi6 also.

As I mentioned in my earlier replies in this thread you need to make sure that Google is set as default app for Voice Assistant. You need to go to "Manage Apps" and use " " menu on top to get to "Default apps".

after installing the rom on my Mi6:
if I don't change the fstab.qcom - it is stuck in boot screen.
after I changed it - I get "App isnt installed on your phone" on any app I try to start...
I can confirm the encryption is broken. This message comes from improperly mounted /data. TWPR mounts encrypted volume perfectly. If fstab.qcom is not amended the boot is stuck then. The last working version is 9.4.11. I have found a way to restore from this state without losing /data:
1. Install 9.4.11 from TWRP, do not erase, do not format and do not wipe anything but cache/dalvik.
2. Fix fstab.qcom
3. Reinstall Magisk
4. Clean cache and reboot, the first start is quite long
5. if this does not help, install the last stable 10.3.3.0
6. Fix fstab, clean and reboot
7. If this does not help, go to step 1.

This works for me, MI8UD. Steps 1-4 helped to restore from 9.4.26, steps 1-7 and 1-4 helped to restore from 9.5.9. For some reason TWRP backup did not help at all (Data, System, Vendor, Boot)

Mi Mix 2 - hello Android 9
Battery drain is better compared to last version. Best situation was with 9.4.18

Can someone confirm?

After updating to the latest Version, VoWifi isn't working anymore on my Mi 8. VoLTE ist working fine. Something changed in this new version, what has overwritten the Changes i made some time ago (Changing the Qualcom Profile to enable VoWifi)?

At MiX 2S too. It controlls brightness very rough. No transitions between 0-100% dimming. Just for example: 20-50-70-100.

wanted to revert to previous version. results in bootloop, sadly.
any way to fix auto brightness in 9.5.9 manually?

it's just not fluid anymore AT ALL... seems to jump straight from 10 to like 80% without transition..
