A few questions

Hi all,

I have a few questions regarding the Mi3.

What webshop is trustworthy, not too expensive, and can send them the earliest on?
What is the release date for the SD 800 version in Europe?
I heard it uses full-size SIM-cards, is that true?
How long will Xiaomi support this device with ROMs?
Is Xiaomi gonna open a European selling station like Oppo did? That would be awesome.
Do much custom ROMs support the Xiaomi devices? Is the bootloader locked?

Looking forward to some answers :)

Bootloader is unlocked though, but don't expect a huge amount of roms. Look at Mi2(s) forum for an estimation.

Thanks all, this is helpful :) I myself indeed do think that MIUI will suffice, but I like to always have the possibility to use custom ROMs.

Once the kernels are opened up (which will be soon) this will make things easier for other Android custom ROMS.

Nice! Hope it will not be as crap as the Find 5 sources. But I have faith in Xiaomi.

but it is officially announced and where can I read it?

Can't wait for open source kernel myself.

I'm a big miui fan though so I would probably just use it for tweaking that and dual booting let's say pacman.

Yeah me too! Its also will be nice when we can use a custom kernel as well.

2-3 years support will be real nice, but with which Android version will the Mi3 be released?

Probably 4.2.1 but more likely 4.1 for stability, really depends when the SoC is ready for production

Honestly I do not care what version it runs, as long as it runs fast, smooth, stable and has a good battery life.

I say 4.2.1 in a video, but it doesn't matter. MIUI V5 is great and adds a lot more then Android 4.2.2 or 4.3 will ever do.
