AX 3600 mesh not detected

It's just sad, not a problem that things don't work, have a release notes for limitations, known issues...

The secondary router needs to be ~3m far for the first configuration, even if you are gonna use it in wired mesh configuration.
(You can move it LATER)
Also the secondary one needs to be in factory reset, with the welcome page still asking for the country :)
Is that the situation?

yes, can't see any change in the configuration, the secondary router still redirects to "welcome" page. Maybe the selected country on primary, Romania, might be even harder to configure. The script output was this one:

Update: managed set it up.
- With Romania selected on main router, and then probably other countries, mesh did not work, even with the script.
- With Singapore selected, did not managed to even connect to the main router
- It did work by selecting Germany on main router:
-> set it up as a router without any extra special settings (did select the 3 options at initial setup: update, enable mimo, and another one, can't remember what was the third), added the router in MiWifi
-> the second router (ax3600) immediately after factory reset, in close vecinity

-> the first difference that i did observe was an actual reboot, previously it never did a reboot -> after a couple of minutes i could see the node added in the mesh, after that moved it away

Après avoir entré la "router adress" on me demande le "master password" mais là mon clavier est bloqué et je ne peux rien taper. Sauriez-vous pourquoi ? merci

The AX1800 you are currently using, is it updated to the latest firmware? Is it out there any global firmware for that router?

Thank you very much. I did a factory reset through the interface and not pushing the button on the AX1800 and it works very well. Thanks again all for your help. Much appreciated!
 
Hello @ShotokanZH, I've tried your script for setting up a Mesh Network of 2 AX3600 routers and it worked great so thank you very much for the easy workaround! :D

However, I've tried adding (several times) a third router as another Mesh Node (AX3600) for the master router (AX3600) and even though everything went great (logged in successfully, it detected the 5Ghz mac address of the router and it even prompted me that everything went good and that it's waiting for router to be rebooted.... The last part of rebooting has never happened and it stays like that endlessly :(

P.S. I've tried also manual reboot, but it didn't work :(

Do you have any fix / ideas of how I could set up a third Mesh node?

Not my script or expertise really, but as a suggestion can you power off the first mesh, then mesh the second one, then power up the whole system??

Just a thought.
 
I have created a mesh network with two AX3600 routers and it turns out that my Mi 9T Pro does not do well for me to change the router. Being connected to a router and with a good connection, when I get closer to the other, it changes the router, with full Wi-Fi coverage, but nevertheless I don't have Wi-Fi connection. If I activate and deactivate the mobile's Wi-Fi switch, it connects at maximum speed. It does it for me on the 5G wifi network, on the 2.4G it works perfect. I have tried all kinds of roms, Miui, Miui EU, Pixel Experience, Lineage, Evolution X ... and it all fails.
My tablet Huawei M6, it works perfect, it does well to change the router of the mesh network.
Anyone know what can it be?

Le Mi 9T Pro a un problème avec l'AX3600. Pour que cela fonctionne, il faut :
  1. Supprimer la connection Wifi de l'AX3600,
  2. Activer le WPA 3 dans le routeur,
  3. Remettre la connection wifi du Mi9T Pro en choisissant WPA 3
  4. Plus aucun problème.
Le test a été fait sur la ROM 12:0.4 EU

Ce que je ne sais pas une fois que je suis passé à WP3 et que je travaille, si je peux revenir à WP2. Je dis cela parce que certains appareils que j'ai ne fonctionnent pas WP3. Je vais voir que tout fonctionne.

Pour ton AX3600, rien ne t'empeche de mettre compatibilité WPA2 / WPA3. J'ai 65 éléments connecté et aucun problème d'incompatibilité.

I managed to configure Mesh with my two AX3600 but the performance is really bad.
Anyone has the same problem?
Range is bad by itself with the Global version.

I've just noticed that since adding a mesh using the routine my option to make a backup (using browser in settings/status) has been removed. Anyone else noticed this, and worked out how to backup?
