Call dropping or caller does not hear me anymore

I am currently on 9.15.7 , and still don't know what to say, still testing... But funny thing. I've never experienced any problem using mobile data, 4g and 4g+ always working well, my problem is regarding phone calls. When I call someone or receive a call, the signal starts dropping like crazy, 3g, 2g, E (GSM), and disconnects... And worst, sometimes I'm playing games, or doing something on the web, and I don't know why, but people tell me they have tried to call me but I was unreachable, and in my phone, all seems fine, good cell signal. So yes, MIUI has been unusable to me, I've been using LOS16 for months, with zero issues.... Now I'm giving MIUI a chance... Again. Will post soon, after further testing.

I stand corrected. Almost immediately after I wrote the above posts (here and on c.mi.com) I encountered the same problems with my Mi MIX 2S. What the hell...
To be honest. I'm relieved to hear that. Because I thought my phone is somehow broken. So, we start again at the very beginning...
For me even LTE ist not working with Vodafone.de.
However, did someone contact xiaomi directly about that issue?

... Ok, so I have installed latest weekly MIUI build and no luck, still facing the same issues. Back to Lineage, good luck for everyone, I'm done with Xiaomi and MIUI.

My impression today is that the issue has become even worse. I am very disappointed with Xiaomi's service and support.

Thanks to latest issues I need again to carry two cellphones again. With recent updates yet again I have problems with connectivity :(
This is ridiculous. I hope more people will talk about this problem so it's fixed. I need to do something with that before holidays, if they will not fix that I will change xiaomi to something else until I can get any money for it.

Xiaomi is laughing at all of us
Apparently in Asia everything goes with pearls.
in europe they do not solve anything these without name, they have remained with our money and they laugh in our face.
I am not a child
I'm 54 years old and I feel cheated
There are three terminals that worked pearls and have stopped doing so.
if not the signal is the wifi but the sensor of proximity and notifications.
WHAT IS XIAOMI DOING WITH US?
WE WANT SOLUTIONS
and we can not claim
xiaomi españa is just a person on the other side that does not get complicated and does not help or give solutions
I hope I'm not blocked for telling the truth

Just a thought, sometimes I think Xiaomi is not interested in fixing some of the issues, especially if "non-global devices" running global ROMs are affected. IMHO Xiaomi's first decisive move in this direction was the change in their update policy last year, preventing re-locking the bootloader on non-global devices running global ROMs, thus taking away certain features like L1 Widevine support etc. Now that Xiaomi has official partners, stores and shops in Europe, Xiaomi tries to protect them by making "grey market devices" (read non-global devices imported to Europe by non-European partners) as unattractive as possible by taking away features, no longer allowing to re-lock the bootloader, and maybe also ignoring issues for some time ... I have experienced commercial behavioral patterns like that in China (protectionism). My impression is that it takes quite some efforts, work arounds, patches, hacking skills (?) by the user to enable all the features, putting people off buying "grey market devices". Again, just a thought.

I just don't get it... Why is this issue is only bring addressed by a few users? I follow 2 mix 2s Telegram groups with hundreds of users and there are no complaints, as far as I remember, only 2 users reported connectivity, call dropping, cell signal issues... And I was one of the two! So, I don't know what to think, but I'm starting to think this is hardware related... I'm using Lineage 16 for a few months, and having zero issues so far, but I think the problem may remain, its just less present... But don't you guys find it strange that only a few users are going to this issues?

We are not only two, we are millions of users. is confirmed by google This they would have to warn before not being able to return to previous versions, if it can be done but it will still not work. they know very well what they do, came to think that this is part of the technological war between Asia and the USA

Right, only some users are affected. My device is "grey market devices" one; is bought from Non-official distributor and have the same issue with you ( Mi Mix 2S; 256GB, 8GB RAM version). You talk above that you are now using Lineage 16. As many people who encounter the above errors, I have tried to flash many many stock and custom ROM, but I only succeed when installing global rom (but still having errors). I tried to install Lineage 16 but failed, although I did follow the instructions. I still want to install Lineage 16, do you have any suggestions to help me? Thanks!

Funny thing, I'm starting to see some pattern here... The Global version with 8gb/256gb is the most affected by these issues, or am I wrong? To install Lineage, I just did the normal thing, unlocked bootloader, installed twrp, formatted everything, and then installed the rom and gapps, and also magisk. Do you say Global official rom works without the issues?

forgive me but I have tried LOS 16 this weekend and neither the sensor nor the notifications work. all those that are android P be MIUI or AOPS none solve it until today. I've installed them all from scratch just like I tried to go back to Android O and without any positive results. My phone is Mi Mix 2S 64 internal memory and 6 RAM. and it is not 100% operational for many months now and it only has me 7. Someone is making a lot of mistakes in android Google that are the owners of the source code

I mean, I installed a lot of different ROMs besides Xiaomi EU ROM, I only installed the Global ROM, but I still couldn't fix the error. I have installed Lineage 16 according to the instructions (and also follow the steps you stated) but failed.

I have no idea what you're talking about, Lineage 16 is working perfectly well, Android P is flawless in this phone, 90% of the AOSP roms available for mix 2s are Lineage based. I've been with Lineage for more then 6 months and no problem whatsoever.

I am really happy for you, but not just happens, something affects us and many other
My phone is official and I have tried everything in ROM miui and beta and LOS 16 and can not work well,
The proximity sensor work real hard and the notifications, for the same reason, do not say some work well either
