Camera Issue

Bought this phone like a month ago successfully flashed to weekly 6.9.8 and everything was perfect, later I decided to update to 6.9.22 for the new notification toggles and as a result my camera focus no longer works. Auto focus, tapping on screen or manual mode do nothing in either the builtin app or 3rd party ones like zoom. Tried updating to 6.9.29 and the problem persists. I've tried clearing camera app data, clearing dalvik cache, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Tried a clean flash as well by wiping all user data in TWRP and installing the rom again, issue persists. Did the camera just decide to die or there is still a chance of software fault?

Edit:
Tried various rom versions, even stock rom and did several full wipes, still doesn't work.. it worked before, what could've gone wrong? Otherwise love this phone.
