If you are using Quick Ball and App Lock, and you open Settings then close it, if you then close Recent apps (i.e. tap the Recents capacitive button then tap the "x") it hides the Quick Ball.
I've found that if I swipe away the Settings app in Recents instead, the Quick Ball would remain visible. While this is a workaround, it is obviously not an ideal situation since it limits the use of the "x" for batch closing recent apps.
