As sparsely reported in various forums, on this website and elsewhere, there's is a compatibility issue with the MIUI Global ROM and the XIAOMI.EU ROMs that derive from it and the Samsung Galaxy Apps store that you access through the Samsung Gear app.
The problem is that if you own a Samsung Gear smartwatch (like the Fit 2 that I have) and you try to download/buy new watchfaces/apps, you have to launch the Galaxy Apps store through the Gear app, and when it happens, the store appears empty. Sometimes the main structure of the website is loaded but not the content (watchfaces and apps). Other times, nothing loads at all.
The latest version of the Gear app (see below) returns a more specific error, loading a page that says "this device is not compatible". This is clearly not true, as the MIUI Chinese ROM loads the Galaxy Apps store perfectly fine.
If it helps, the store is loaded within the Gear app as a web page inside an iframe, I think. So maybe in the non-chinese ROMs there's an issue with the submitted user agent?
This issue persists with the latest Gear app components that Samsung released yesterday:

- Samsung Accessory Service 3.1.39_170322
