I'd ask somewhere closer to phone maker, but its all chinesse out there and I don't understand a word...

PS: how do you know when Xiaomi's going to sell another batch of phones? Re-sellers are kind of mad offering pre-orders with 50% overpricing, making Xiaomi phone almost as expensive as Galaxy S III, considering shipping costs...

As far as I remember [from the video with a subtitled translation of the Xiaomi keynote], there is some sort of noise cancelling technology called "earSmart". This 'simulates the function of the human ears', and determines the source and distance of a sound by using the mic on the bottom of the phone and the mic on the back, before cancelling the unwanted sound.
